Best of Enemies casting call for extras in Macon, Georgia.

Casting directors are looking for talent to work on scenes filming in Macon, Georgia. Producers are looking for people to play a wide array of roles including parade attendees, beauty queens, Boy Scouts, marching bands, majorettes, firemen and police officers. Filming will shoot on May 20.

About Best of Enemies:

The Best of Enemies will tell the story of 2 major civil rights activists (Ann Atwater and C.P. Ellis) at a prominent point in their lives – North Carolina’s decision to integrate black and white schools. History often has a darker side, especially when dealing with history in the south, and this film will respectfully bring that darkness into the light as we deal with the issue of racism. C.P. Ellis was born and raised on the poor west side of Durham, North Carolina, and as a young man, he joined the Ku Klux Klan seeking a sense of brotherhood and belonging. That being said, we are looking for background actors who are comfortable portraying C.P.’s fellow Klansmen in 1971.

PARADE ATTENDEES
We need several Caucasian and African American parade attendees of all ages. African Americans must have all natural hair with no wigs, weaves, braids, or modern cuts or non-natural colors. Caucasians should have natural hair with conservative styles and no unnatural colors. Feel free to apply as an individual or a group or an entire family! Be sure to include everyone’s name and details when submitting as a group.

BEAUTY QUEENS
Seeking Caucasian Girls, Ages 16-18 years that appear to be 15 to 17 years old or younger. You will be riding a float in a parade featured in the beginning of the film. You should have natural hair, no highlights or unusual colors.

BOY SCOUTS OF AMERICA
Seeking Caucasian males ages 8-15 years to portray Boy Scouts. If your child is a current or former Boy Scout, please list their experience/rank in your submission. Boys should have natural hair appropriate for the time period. Parents, please include your name in the submission for your child as well! If submitting more than one child, be sure to label the photos with names so we will know which child is which.
