Did Carrie Fisher Finish Filming ‘Star Wars’ Before Dying?

Date:

According to multiple reports, Carrie Fisher had finished filming Star Wars: Episode VIII before she died.

The actress reprised her role as Princess Leia in the upcoming Star Wars movie. The official Star Wars Twitter account tweeted that production had wrapped back in July and is expected to hit theaters on December 15th.

However, it is unknown how Fisher’s death will impact future Star Wars movies and whether Princess Leia’s character will play a major role in the future Star Wars movies.

Fisher died on Tuesday following a heart attack on a plan flight from London to Los Angeles on December 23rd. Afterwards, she was taken to UCLA Medical Center for emergency treatment. She was reported to be in stable condition over the weekend but unfortunately died Tuesday morning.
