Lady Gaga‘s new movie A Star is Born is now casting extras in California.
Lady Gaga is partnering with Bradley Cooper for the upcoming feature film A Star is Born and now casting directors are holding an open casting call for background actors to appear in the movie.
According to reports, casting directors are looking for actors, models, and talent between the ages of 18 to 45 to appear in the new movie.
An open casting call at Miramonte Indian Wells Resort and Spa in Indian Wells. The open call for “men and women of all shapes, sizes, and ethnicities” will be held from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. inside the Tuscany Ballroom at the hotel, 45000 Indian Wells Lane.
If you’re wondering if Lady Gaga will make an appearance at the open casting call, then I regret to inform you she will not. “Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper are not going to be here at the casting call,” said David Folkeson, director of sales at Miramonte Indian Wells Resort and Spa.
“The casting will be a quick hit-and-run,” said Rich King, owner of Rich King Casting. “We have to be out of here right at 4 p.m.”
People are asked to bring a 3 x 5 size photo of themselves, a pen and “a great attitude,” according to the casting call. The film will be shot over three days beginning on Monday, April 17, in the Coachella Valley. Extras will receive $84 for eight hours of work, plus overtime and meals.
About A Star is Born:
The movie centers around a movie star who helps a young singer/actress find fame, even as age and alcoholism send his own career into a downward spiral. The movie stars Bradley Cooper, Sam Elliott, and Lady Gaga. Bradley Cooper will direct the feature film.
