Broadway’s ‘MOTOWN The Musical Lead Role Open Casting Call in New York City.
Telsey and Company is looking for young singers ages 8 to 13 to play a little Michael Jackson. According to the casting call, casting directors are looking for talented singers and actors to play lead roles in the hit Motown musical ‘Motown’. Producers are looking for a charismatic and talented high tenor singers who can sing and dance just like Michael Jackson did in his “Jackson 5” days.
Based on Barry Gordy’s 1994 autobiography To Be Loved: The Music, the Magic, the Memories of Motown, the musical is based on the story of Gordy’s founding and running of the Motown record label, and his personal and professional relationships with Motown artists such as Diana Ross, Smokey Robinson, Marvin Gaye, and Michael Jackson. The music and lyrics for the musical are taken from selections from the Motown catalog.
Auditions are scheduled for Saturday, April 11th at Telsey + Company 311 W. 43rd Street, 10th floor New York, NY.
