BET’s hit television series ‘Being Mary Jane’ is back for a second season and casting directors are now casting Richard Roundtree’s stand-in.
BET’s ‘Being Mary Jane’ comes from the producers of the award-winning, BET comedy The Game. The hit series was recently renewed for a second season and features the talented Gabrielle Union.
Richard Roundtree is best known for his role as John Shaft in Shaft (1971), and starred in its two sequels as well. He became popular again in the 1990s with his role in Se7en(1995), and was well received for reprising his role as the classic hero, and Samuel L. Jackson’s uncle, in the 2000 remake of the film that made him a star, Shaft (2000).
‘Being Mary Jane’ centers on Mary Jane Paul, a successful TV news anchor who runs into modern day experiences that men and women can both understand and engage in. This intense drama shows Mary Jane juggling her life, her relationships, and her personal commitments.

For the TV series “Being Mary Jane” Season 2, we are casting an African American male stand-in, between 6’2-6’4, for the actor Richard Roundtree.
Filming will begin March 31, 2014 – July 2014 in Atlanta, GA. The stand-in rate is $90/8 hours (with overtime after 8 hours.) You will be needed for several filming dates and you must have a flexible schedule. You must also be available for an interview on Monday, 3/24/14.
