Open casting calls have begun for the live-action feature film, Aladdin 3477, based on the classic Arabian Nights tale, set 1,500 years in the future.
The independent production is open to all ethnicities (including bi- and multi-racial) and is seeking male and female roles of all ages. The movie will feature a huge ensemble cast of all types.
All parts are paid and/or compensated. Aladdin 3477 is written and directed by Star Wars Artist Matt Busch, who’s illustrations are recognized around the world, his books have become New York Times Bestsellers, and his independent movies, documentaries, and Online videos have shattered records and won awards.
Years in the making, Aladdin 3477 has already received an incredible amount of buzz world-wide (Google it!), and is finally set to begin filming in May!
This epic sci-fi adventure is not a musical like Disney’s Aladdin, nor is it animated. The film is said to look more like Star Wars, set in futuristic Asia, and feel like a worldly Indiana Jones adventure.
While the Aladdin you’re familiar with focuses mostly on the charming thief and the Princess, this version has a much larger ensemble of main characters of all ages and ethnicities.
There are plenty of juicy, exciting and unique roles for all types.
All applicants over the age of 18 will be considered.
The majority of filming will take place in Southeastern Michigan from May through August of 2014, so applicants already living there during that time is a plus.
Travel expenses will be covered for any locations or sets outside of Southeastern Michigan. All ethnicities are encouraged, though Asian, Indian, and Middle Eastern are a plus. Acting experience is not required, but is a plus. For certain characters, martial arts, athletic or gymnastic experience could be a plus. Aladdin 3477 is a non-Union independent production.
