Casting Real Fishermen & Lobstermen for Non-Union Project

Job Description: Slate Casting is seeking real fishermen and lobstermen for an upcoming non-union project. We are looking for authentic individuals who live and work in the New England area. This project aims to capture the true essence of life at sea, focusing on the hardworking men and women who make their living on the water. No acting experience is necessary—just a passion for your craft and a willingness to share your story on camera.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Participate in a non-union video or photo project that highlights the daily life of fishermen and lobstermen.
  • Engage in activities that are part of your regular work routine, such as fishing, lobstering, and boat maintenance, to capture authentic footage.
  • Follow the direction of the production team to ensure the best possible representation of your lifestyle and profession.

Requirements:

  • Real fishermen or lobstermen currently living and working in the New England area.
  • Must be local to New England (no travel compensation provided).
  • Comfortable being filmed or photographed while working.
  • No acting experience necessary, but you must be able to represent your work authentically.

Compensation:

  • Pay up to $6,000 per person if cast.
