Looking for an Internship? Star Wars is Now Hiring Interns

Are you looking for a job in the film industry? Do you want to work on the next Star Wars or Indiana Jones movie?

Lucasfilm, the creative geniuses behind Star Wars and Indiana Jones, is currently looking for new interns to work on their internship programs.

Lucasfilm is a film and TV production company based in San Francisco, California. The studio is best known for creating the Star Wars and Indiana Jones franchises, as well as being the leading developer for special effects and computer animation.

Founded by filmmaker George Lucas in 1971, most of the company’s operations moved to San Francisco in 2005. Since then, the Walt Disney Company acquired Lucasfilm in 2012 for $4.06 billion.

 LucasFilm’s latest movie, Star Wars: Episode VII was a box office monster. In fact, Star Wars: The Force Awakens is the highest grossing movie in the world with over a billion dollar in ticket sales alone. Since, the Disney acquisition, Lucasfilm is creating a new Star Wars movie every year with plans on several spinoffs, reboots, and prequels. In addition, there is rampant rumors that a new Indiana Jones movie is coming soon.

San Francisco Internships

As a Lucasfilm intern you’ll work closely with industry experts in areas ranging from Technology, to Art, to Public Relations. Our paid internships are for 12 weeks and will take place during the summer of 2016. Please go to the Disney Careers site for more information here.


Singapore Internships

We’re looking for a few good Padawans! The Lucasfilm Singapore companies are looking for great creative talent to join our award winning teams.

We work with local schools academic calendars for the annual intake of interns and accordingly our internship program runs throughout the year. We are looking for polytechnic and junior undergraduate students to work in our Singapore studio. To be eligible, you must be a student of a local institution in Singapore and attached to an Industrial Attachment Program (IAP), Advanced Technology Attachment Program (ATAP), Student Attachment Program (SIP) or other equivalent program. Internship positions are available in every department – Animation, Visual Effects, Administration and Information Technology. All internship positions are paid.

Singapore Apprenticeship Program

Are you looking for an opportunity to enter this industry – you have the passion, the training but just little or no experience?

The Jedi Masters Program (JuMP) is a paid apprenticeship program at Lucasfilm Singapore that offers talented individuals the chance to learn from the masters in a variety of creative disciplines – from visual effects to animation or game production. The program includes a combination of both in-class training and on-floor mentorship, giving Apprentices unique exposure to a real-world production environment. Successful applicants will receive a training stipend and benefits such as vacation & sick days, health and insurance coverage.

The Apprenticeship program is a way for Lucasfilm to find fresh talent as well as offering the individuals work experience – if successful Apprentices will be offered a full time position. Selection will be based both on Apprentice performance over the course of the training, as well as studio’s hiring needs at the time of graduation.
