Harrison Ford’s injury is worse than we all thought, he required surgery and will take eight weeks before he maybe able to get back on set of Star Wars: Episode VII.
Do you recall the story about Harrison Ford breaking his ankle on the Millennium Falcon in London? Well his injury is worse than we thought.
Harrison Ford suffered a broken leg and required surgery. In a statement about the accident Harrison Ford‘s Rep, Ina Treciokas, confirmed that it was initially reported as an ankle injury had turned out to be a break in his left leg.
“Harrison’s left leg was broken in the accident. His surgery was successful and he will begin rehab shortly. He’s doing well and looks forward to returning to work.”
Disney confirmed to TheWrap that shooting on J.J. Abrams‘Â Star Wars: Episode VIIÂ will remain on schedule while Ford’s leg heals. It is reported that it will take up to eight weeks.
Harrison Ford will return to his legendary role of Han Solo, in the upcoming Star Wars sequel. The actor was injured by the door of the Millennium Falcon, the spacecraft the character used in the original films.
Star Wars: Episode VII features  John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac, Andy Serkis, Domhnall Gleeson, Lupita Nyong’o and Max von Sydow. Along with the original cast,Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill, Anthony Daniels, Peter Mayhew and Kenny Baker.
