Amazon Studios is reportedly discussing with Oscar Isaac to play iconic author Kurt Vonnegut in their upcoming film, ‘Helltown.’
Amazon’s upcoming series, Helltown, might be blessed with the presence of acclaimed actor Oscar Isaac. Reports suggest that he is negotiating to take on the role of Kurt Vonnegut as the protagonist for this highly anticipated project!
According to insiders, the eight-episode crime thriller based on Casey Sherman’s book will be one hour long and center around Kurt Vonnegut’s life before he became a renowned author. The following narrative was outlined in the logline: “In 1969, Kurt was a struggling novelist and car salesman living with his wife and five children on Cape Cod. When two women disappear and are later discovered murdered underneath the dunes on the outskirts of Provincetown, Kurt becomes obsessed and embroiled in the chilling hunt for a serial killer and forms a dangerous bond with the prime suspect.”
Ed Berger, the acclaimed director of All Quiet on the Western Front, will direct this new project and serve as executive producer. Meanwhile, Mohamad El Masri – co-executive producer of Severance – will take up show running and writing duties for this exciting series. An esteemed producing team comprising Robert Downey Jr., Susan Downey, Amanda Burrell, Isaac Konstantinakos, Gena Konstantinakos, and Sherman will lead the project.
