According to reports, Travis Scott is set to take the lead in a highly secretive A24 film helmed by acclaimed director Harmony Korine.
The Film Stage recently revealed that the project is an action-packed feature entirely shot using infrared technology. This enigmatic film recently had a private screening at New York City’s Metrograph Theater, further fueling the rumors surrounding Scott’s involvement. The speculation gains credibility from Scott’s previous Instagram Stories, which showcased images of body armor, firearms, masks, and even Harmony Korine himself.
In August 2021, Scott’s production company, Cactus Jack Films, announced its partnership with A24, creating excitement among fans. During this announcement, Scott hinted at writing a script, potentially titled Utopia, which coincidentally shares its name with his highly anticipated upcoming album. While no official updates have been released apart from Instagram, as mentioned above Stories, the project continues to generate substantial buzz.
Adding to the intrigue, Metrograph recently teased an exclusive screening of an “extraordinary filmmaker’s secret new project” scheduled for the upcoming weekend. However, whether this screening will feature Korine and Scott’s collaborative endeavor remains to be confirmed.
