A24 Unveils Second ‘Problemista’ Trailer, a Hilarious Take on the Challenges of the American Dream.
A24 has released the second trailer for its highly anticipated comedy film, Problemista. This upcoming movie, written and directed by the talented Julio Torres, features an all-star cast, including Tilda Swinton and RZA from Wu-Tang Clan. Problemista follows Torres’ journey as he relocates to New York City to pursue a career in toy design.
The trailer showcases Torres teaming up with Academy Award winner Tilda Swinton as they embark on a quest to find an immigration sponsor. At the same time, his life takes a downward spiral against all odds. Torres faces the harsh reality of unemployment, conversing with strangers on the streets and pursuing freelance opportunities that yield no financial reward. Torres receives digital support from his family throughout his comical journey, offering a glimpse into the immigrant Latin American experience in the United States.
Problemista marks a pivotal moment in Torres’ career, as he wrote and directed the film and served as a producer alongside Dave McCary, Ali Herting, and Emma Stone. The movie boasts an impressive ensemble cast, including Isabella Rossellini, Larry Owens, Catalina Saavedra, and Greta Lee.
