Kim Kardashian and her sisters were both texting during the emotional VMA Ferguson tribute.
Common got serious during th MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday night. Prior to introducing the best hip-hop video award he urged those in the audience and at home to take a moment to remeber what happened in Ferguson, Missouri. Afterwards he called for a moment of silence “for Mike Brown and for peace in this country and in the world.”
As the camera panned across the celebrity filled crowd, you could see Snoop Dogg and other celebrities holding a peace sign and holding their heads bowed. Everyone, except for the Kardashians. It looks like MTV made a huge mistake by focusing on the Kardashians, who appeared to be texting and fixing their outfits during the moment of silence.
BuzzFeed has reached out to MTV to “to confirm that the footage of the Kardashians texting happened during the moment of silence and wasn’t on a delay and shown by mistake.”
Let us hope that this is just a mistake.
