Sylvester Stallone announces The Rambo sequel title, Rambo: Last Blood.
Sylvester Stallone is ready to start killing, throwing grenades, and blow things up. The Rambo star tweeted on December 28th that the title of the upcoming sequel in the Rambo franchise will be called Rambo: Last Blood. The title is in refrence to 1982’s First Blood, which launched the franchise character.
“Doing Scarpa based on Gangster Greg Scarpa after LAST BLOOD RAMBO…” Stallone wrote about his upcoming projects.
Stallone, who wrote the script for the new Rambo film and is set to direct, will first film a role in director Ryan Coogler‘s upcoming Rocky spinoff Creed, which stars Michael B. Jordan (That Awkward Moment) as Apollo Creed’s grandson Adonis. Casting directors are currently casting speaking roles in the upcoming feature film. The last film featuring Rambo was 2008’s concisely titled Rambo, which grossed $113 million worldwide. Stallone was most recently seen in 2014’s underperforming actioner Expendables 3.
