It’s official One Direction is breaking up.
One Direction fans are going to have to start listening to their old Justin Bieber albums again. Days after the group launched into space in the music video for the song, “Drag Me Down,” One Direction has reportedly to take at least a year off to focus on solo albums.
The break will start in March 2016.
This also means that the boy band’s fifth album, which is expected to be released later this year, will not have a supporting tour. A source told The Sun:
“The guys have been together for five years, which is an incredible run for any boyband. They fully deserve to have at least a year to work on their own projects.
There is absolutely no bad blood between them and they are all 100 per cent behind the decision.
It is definitely not a split and they fully intend to get back together at some time in the future.
But for now it is the end and they go out on top as the world’s most popular music act.”
This has been a major year for One Direction. First, Zayn left the band, then Louis became a father and Harry keeps getting more and more popular.
It reminds me of the time N*SYNC broke up in 2002. I never would have thought Justin Timberlake would become the biggest recording artists and actors of our generation. 10 years from now Zayn may become the next JT.
