Job Responsibilities
- Edit film and video content for current production projects.

Requirements
- Entry-level editor, film/media student, or recent graduate.

- DaVinci Resolve experience is a plus.
- Must currently reside in the U.S.
- Southern California-based candidates are preferred, but other U.S. locations may be considered.

The ideal candidate understands what makes audiences stop scrolling and can turn raw content into engaging, platform-native videos for TikTok and Instagram Reels. This role requires fast turnaround times, strong visual storytelling instincts, and an understanding of current social media trends. The editor will work closely with Summerset’s creative team across a variety of brands, developing content with compelling hooks, effective pacing, graphics, transitions, music, and trending audio.

- Edit engaging short-form videos for TikTok and Instagram Reels.
- Develop strong hooks and pacing designed to capture viewer attention.
- Incorporate text overlays, graphics, transitions, and visual storytelling.
- Select music, sound design, and trending audio appropriate for each project.
- Format and optimize content for specific social media platforms.
- Follow current trends and apply relevant editing styles to brand content.
- Deliver high-quality edits within fast turnaround times.
- Collaborate with the creative team across multiple brands.
Requirements
- Strong understanding of short-form social media content.
- Must be fluent in CapCut, TikTok Studio, and Instagram Edits.
