Job Description

Summerset is seeking a creative, trend-aware short-form video editor to join its team on a remote hourly contract basis. The ideal candidate understands what makes audiences stop scrolling and can turn raw content into engaging, platform-native videos for TikTok and Instagram Reels. This role requires fast turnaround times, strong visual storytelling instincts, and an understanding of current social media trends. The editor will work closely with Summerset’s creative team across a variety of brands, developing content with compelling hooks, effective pacing, graphics, transitions, music, and trending audio.

Job Responsibilities

• Edit engaging short-form videos for TikTok and Instagram Reels.
• Develop strong hooks and pacing designed to capture viewer attention.
• Incorporate text overlays, graphics, transitions, and visual storytelling.
• Select music, sound design, and trending audio appropriate for each project.
• Format and optimize content for specific social media platforms.
• Follow current trends and apply relevant editing styles to brand content.
• Deliver high-quality edits within fast turnaround times.
• Collaborate with the creative team across multiple brands.

Requirements

• Strong understanding of short-form social media content.
• Must be fluent in CapCut, TikTok Studio, and Instagram Edits.
• Highly creative and knowledgeable about current content trends.
• Strong skills in pacing, hooks, graphics, transitions, and sound design.
• Ability to create content that feels native to TikTok and Reels.
• Experience editing for brands, creators, CPG, food and beverage, hospitality, or lifestyle is a major plus.
• Must be comfortable working remotely on an hourly contract basis.
• Portfolio required when applying.

Hourly contract role.
