Job Description
CBC Kids is seeking a new co-host for an upcoming on-camera hosting opportunity based in Toronto, Ontario. The casting call is open to Canadian performers who identify as people living with a disability and are interested in bringing their personality, energy, and perspective to children’s programming. The selected performer will join CBC Kids as a co-host under a freelance contract, with work expected on an as-needed basis approximately one to five times per month.
Job Responsibilities
- Work as an on-camera co-host for CBC Kids programming.
- Engage naturally and enthusiastically with young audiences.
- Collaborate with producers, fellow hosts, and the production team.
- Follow scripts, creative direction, and production requirements.
- Participate in scheduled filming and hosting assignments as needed.
Requirements
- Open to Canadian talent.
- Seeking performers who identify as people living with a disability.
- Comfortable performing and communicating on camera.
- Strong personality, enthusiasm, and communication skills.
- Availability for freelance assignments approximately 1–5 times per month.
