An upcoming feature-length docu-fiction film set in New York City is seeking talent. The story centers on a taxi driver who revisits moments of his life through powerful late-night encounters with a range of passengers. Blending documentary and fictional elements, the film aims to portray deeply authentic and emotionally resonant character interactions.

Producers are looking for confident, naturally curious, and engaging individuals to portray the various passengers. Strong improvisational skills, the ability to sustain meaningful conversations, and ease with unscripted dialogue are essential. This is a passion project, and filming will take place overnight in NYC.

Job Responsibilities

  • Portray characters based on detailed personality breakdowns

  • Engage in naturalistic, semi-improvised conversations during filming

  • Work collaboratively with a small, creative film team

  • Attend one rehearsal and complete one overnight filming session

  • Bring authenticity, spontaneity, and character-driven depth to scenes

Requirements

We are casting the following non-union roles:

  • Millennial Woman (20s–30s, Any Ethnicity): Confident, curious, disarming; grows more engaged during her ride.

  • Young Balkan Man (Early 20s, Balkan): Newly arrived in NYC, reserved, must speak with a Balkan accent.

  • Older Man (60s–70s, Middle Eastern or Central European): Physically imposing, loud, talkative, politically aware.

  • Two NYC Hustlers (Late teens–early 20s, Any Ethnicity): Must know each other in real life; street-smart, high-energy, unpredictable duo.

Compensation

  • Rate: $1,000 total per actor (includes one rehearsal + one overnight shoot)
