Job Description:
Midthunder Casting is seeking male and female Native American Indigenous individuals to portray Inupiaq/Alaskan Natives in an upcoming documentary feature. This project will be filmed in Los Angeles and seeks to authentically represent the Inupiaq and Alaskan Native communities in a compelling and respectful documentary format. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a meaningful production that aims to share and highlight Native voices and experiences.
Job Responsibilities:
- Portray Inupiaq/Alaskan Native individuals in various scenes, interviews, or re-enactments for the documentary feature.
- Follow the direction of the production team to accurately represent the cultural aspects and stories depicted.
- Maintain professionalism on set, ensuring punctuality and adherence to production schedules.
- Engage naturally and authentically in front of the camera to help convey the documentary’s theme and message.
Requirements:
- Must be of Native American Indigenous descent, specifically able to portray Inupiaq/Alaskan Native individuals.
- Ages 10 to 65 years old.
- Must be non-union and local to the Los Angeles area or able to self-report to the filming location.
- Submission must include a photo (headshot or clear cell phone photo), no filters, hats, or sunglasses allowed.
- Age must be provided for anyone under 18 years old.
- Prior experience in documentary or film projects is a plus but not required.
- Must be comfortable with documentary-style filming and storytelling.
Compensation:
- Paid role: $500 per day.
- Meals and breaks provided on set.
