Responsibilities :
Responsibilities include providing logistical and editorial production support for all aspects of News Magazine production. We are a collaborative show, where team members work together to create an end result. Respect for and collaboration with others is essential. Production skills include, but are not limited to- setting up and participating in field shoots, gathering and organizing elements for edit, booking guests, supporting editors with media, writing, and participating in a collaborative production process. Our content varies from character-driven true crime mysteries, to newsmaker interviews, to coverage of high profile stories. An interest in the greater world around you in essential. Candidates are expected to be able to travel at times, and join our breaking news 2020 specials.
Basic Qualifications :
- Strong communication and organization skills are a must.
- Attention to detail is essential.
- Candidates must be able to multi-task and have sound editorial judgment.
- The ability to communicate with and work well with others is a must in our collaborative environment.
- An interest in growing skills in longform production
- Candidates are also expected to foster an inclusive and positive work environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience in long-format production is a plus.
- Experience with shooting on various formats and a basic knowledge of Avid editing is also preferred.

Compensation

Production Assistant: $220/12
