As a Senior Art Director, you will assist in guiding the visual experience for the DXL brands, across all channels with the focus being on web and digital projects. This role is accountable for comprehending DXL’s strategies, program goals, and will display a high level of creativity utilizing industry trends and design techniques.

Using your strategic vision skills and your passion for inspiring great work you will play a key role in supporting our guests by:

  • Collaborating with peer groups across functions including Marketing, Brand, Social Media, Digital, and Merchandising to help build and execute brand creative vision and concepting, designing, and producing compelling content across multiple channels and platforms
  • Leading multiple projects and overseeing a team of an Art Director and 2-3 designers
  • Overseeing all digital projects including e-mails, homepages, landing pages and display ads
  • Leading presentations with strong verbal and visual execution, while clearly communicating design vision
  • Partnering with copy and graphic designers to ensure all creative is aligned and communicate a brand-consistent message
  • Guiding the team in setting and implementing design standards
  • Keeping up to date with trends for: e-commerce technology, graphic design, photography, video, and social media, proposing innovation and sharing this knowledge with the team
  • Mentoring members of the design team to foster a positive team environment while growing the team’s skills

We’re looking for someone:

  • With a Bachelor’s Degree in Art, Design or Marketing preferred, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
  • 10+ years professional design experience in a supervisory role required; fashion and retail experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of digital production, UXD and print design
  • A portfolio that demonstrates a comprehensive understanding of interactivity for web, mobile web, and native apps
  • Knowledge of the elements of graphic design and production across the various consumer touchpoints (digital and print)
  • Expert level knowledge Adobe CC: Photoshop, InDesign, XD, Illustrator, After Effects
  • Knowledge of photography, typography and printing
  • Knowledge of social and cultural trends and fashion/merchandising

As a Brand Manager, you will take your passion for a customer first mindset to create content and visibility on all channels, add imagination & fresh ideas to the social programs, execute flawless campaigns, roll up your sleeves to dig into results, and bring your engagement to learn the most about industry trends.

Using your proactive, high energy, and collaborative nature, you will play a key role in supporting our guests by:

  • Serving as the steward of the brand, embracing and driving brand promise, mission, vision, positioning, and messaging throughout the organization and all consumer touchpoints to drive overall business goals and growth
  • Providing detailed guidance/briefs on creative projects and marketing campaigns across all marketing channels to achieve relevant project business objectives and ensure consistent on-brand messaging
  • Creating and develop public relations strategy, proactively driving placements in print, broadcast and online media across trade and consumer publications
  • Spearheading the timely creation and issuance of press releases, along with proactive follow-up pitching for coverage
  • Leading and managing social media strategy and execution to increase engagement and drive brand awareness, including managing a Social Media Specialist
  • Measuring and reporting on all program KPI’s, performance vs. expectations, learnings, and implications for future programs
  • Proactively monitoring industry trends and best practices to identify growth opportunities for potential new programs and ideas

We’re looking for someone:

  • With a bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience
  • With 5+ years working in Brand Marketing; retail industry a plus
  • With experience with public relations and influencer/partnership marketing
  • With Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • With experience in media strategy, media outreach, influencer marketing, social media, content creation

Reporting to the Sr. Art Director, you will help drive the creative and brand look and feel by applying our brand personality into a tangible, relatable entity that our customer identifies with. Collaborating with internal creative and brand teams, you’ll help bring the brand to life through visual imagery content, inventive experiences, and packaging and cross-channel campaigns.

Using your creativity and ability to think “out of the box” you will play a key role in supporting our guests by:

  • Overseeing/designing brand creative content through a wide array of channels, including with focus on traditional mediums
  • Conceptualizing, developing, and creating seasonal campaigns in collaboration with the company’s internal creative staff and visual merchandising professionals
  • Planning and collaborating with photoshoot team to deliver consistent, high quality, on brand product photography
  • Directing overall look and feel of both editorial and product shots
  • Assisting/guiding the selection of final imagery for editing and varied usages with a keen eye ensuring brands vision is consistently communicated
  • Partnering with Sr. Creative leaders to develop and manage creative processes/strategies and style guides
  • Working together with Creative and Brand Identity to ensure consistency and efficiency
  • Staying abreast of cultural events and trends that will shape creative concepts and bring extraordinary brand experiences to our guest

We’re looking for someone:

  • With a Bachelor’s Degree preferred, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • With 7+ years of art direction, graphic design, photo processes from studio to location to deliver unique assets to teams
  • With 5+ years of experience in management/leadership roles
  • With branding knowledge: Able to design materials true to the brand identity of product and style guidelines set
  • That is able to travel to photo shoots
