Role We are looking for a FP&A Manager to join us on a 12-15 month FTC to cover maternity leave in our London based finance team. Reporting into the VP Finance, and working closely with the LA-based HQ Finance team, the position will lead across all FP&A matters for the global TV sales team.

Annual Budget / Forecasts Updates:

  • Prepare / manage / deliver annual budget / forecasts / long range plans
  • Providing executive communication, storytelling, dashboards and presentations
  • Understanding changes / movements with variance analysis, bridges and walks
  • Underlining secured business, identifying opportunities to close gaps and minimising business exposure to risk

Title Ultimates:

  • Run and maintain ultimates (10 year sales projections) preparation with quarterly updates based on latest deal structures and underlying agreements,
  • Detailed reporting against actuals and original projections

Monthly Revenue Recognition:

  • Support revenue team with monthly actuals oversight
  • Detailed reporting against actuals and original projections
  • Managing deal Hit List to ensure delivery inline with expectations

Reporting to London SMT & LA HQ:

  • Co-ordinate and prepare monthly performance analysis against budget and recent reforecast
  • Detailed reporting of lifetime sales against ultimates
  • Ad-hoc financial and operating reports and analysis

Adhoc:

  • Provide deal terms validation in new rights system (Rights Line)
  • Liaising with AR team to ensure prompt receivables with support on billing terms, withholding tax minimisation and other ad-hoc support,
  • Drive improvements to and automation of management reporting & systems
  • Liaising with Technical Accounting, Business & Legal Affairs, Sales & Marketing teams
  • Proactively drive ideas for improved operations, analysis, cost savings and other efficiencies by presenting analysis to management and actively collaborating with key stakeholders
  • Delivery of regular and ad-hoc financial analysis / management requests

Essential Requirements / Skills:

  • Qualified Accountant: ACA / CIMA / ACCA or equivalent
  • Advanced proficiency with Excel and financial modelling
  • Ability to work in a large matrix organization with a resilient start-up can do mentality
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Relevant experience working in a Media/Entertainment business
  • Strong analytical skills, including the ability to interpret financial and research data
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to multi-task projects and stakeholders across the company
  • Excellent interpersonal skills (when to deploy tact, diplomacy and discretion)
  • Ability to organize workload to fit to a dynamic and fast-paced timeframe
  • Experienced with SAP/BPC

Advantageous Skills:

  • Previous experience in a sales or distribution environment and Ultimate Accounting
  • Experience of Rights Management Systems such as Rights Line
  • Experience in working in a multi-national company
  • Interest in content, understanding of the ecosystem and the changing landscape of distribution

Working Conditions:

  • This is a fixed term contract (13-15 months) role and will be based at Marylebone, London
  • Hybrid working available (min 3 days in office)

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with business leads and hiring managers to fill open full-time and internship positions
  • Network and recruit extensively to build diverse candidate pools across all levels
  • Establish position needs, business priorities, and manage candidate and hiring manager expectations
  • Exercise curiosity and conduct research into competitors and marketplace to target passive talent
  • Draft and edit job descriptions for existing and newly created positions
  • Generate and deliver weekly system generated and Excel based recruitment activity and status update reports
  • Establish partnerships with industry affiliates, colleges, universities, veterans, community, EDD, and professional organizations to develop diverse candidate pools
  • Track and identify prospective candidates using a variety of sourcing channels
  • Assess candidates to ensure qualification and profile match
  • Parter with external agencies and recruitment partners to generate candidate pipelines and coordinate candidate interviews
  • Conduct confidential phone screenings, interviews, and follow-up reference checks
  • Present shortlisted candidates and provide profile summaries to hiring managers
  • Work closely with HR team members and Finance to provide job offer guidance and to facilitate the negotiation and offer process to successful completion
  • Support the candidate’s transition and onboarding process

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Psychology, or related field
  • 2-3 years of recruitment experience in at a studio, production or entertainment company, with a comprehensive understanding of all recruitment processes and techniques
  • Proficiency in using an ATS and HRIS system
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent knowledge of candidate selection methods and sourcing tools
  • Keen business acumen and market insight
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with all levels of employees
  • Solid critical thinking skills and the ability to demonstrate sound judgment
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple large projects simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines

Role Summary:

As the Administrative Assistant for the Documentary team you will work in a fast-paced environment for a progressive, forward-thinking, creative, and business executive overseeing all aspects of documentary strategy, investment and sales. You need to be detail-oriented and extremely organized while interacting with all levels of employees within the organization as well as filmmakers, talent representatives, financiers, distributors, and various external stakeholders.

You will play a vital role in ensuring our Executives are always up to date and organized, and will provide support, as needed, to ensure projects move forward expeditiously. You will act as hub for direct reports and team members ensuring team communication and priorities are consistently aligned.

Responsibilities:

  • Work directly with Executives to manage their time with respect to priorities, goals, and objectives
  • Act as a fast and efficient conduit between Executive team, staff, filmmakers and external stakeholders and customers.
  • Assist Executives with any necessary meeting preparation and when requested, join Executives in meetings to take notes and follow up with responsible parties to ensure tasks are completed and agreed upon
  • Manage Executive’s calendar, schedule internal and external meetings (both in-person and virtual), and handle all travel & expense processing
  • Maintain Executive’s call list and various “To-Do’s”, keeping executive on track with daily, weekly, and monthly schedules
  • Maintain strong working knowledge of projects, team members, and important internal and external contacts

Requirements:

  • 1 year of significant assistant experience either supporting an executive or in a personal assistant capacity
  • Experience in the Film, TV or Media & Entertainment Industry is strongly preferred
  • You have a history of thriving in a fast-paced environment and are not intimidated by new challenges
  • You are an exceptional communicator and enthusiastic collaborator
  • You are highly organized and understand juggling priorities, are timely with follow up and handle tasks with appropriate levels of urgency
  • You are pro-active, flexible and have strong decision-making capacity
