Senior Manager of Marketing Communications & Brand

Our client is a leading destination for consumers investigating green energy technologies. With a well respected brand trusted by consumers and the market, they’re looking for a Senior Manager of Communications and Brand to help achieve even greater success.

This is the perfect role for a brand marketer looking to join a mission driven organization with plans for major growth. The right candidate will bring a strong background in PR, messaging, and brand strategy. This role will a small group of dedicated marketers and report to the VP of Marketing.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead all brand marketing efforts, shaping brand voice and strategy in conjunction with marketing goals
  • Develop and execute of communication strategies that drive brand visibility, enhance our corporate reputation, and foster customer engagement
  • Collaborate with leadership to ensure communication efforts support business objectives and uphold the company’s values
  • Serve as the steward of the client’s brand, partnering closely with other teams to ensure overall brand cohesion
  • Lead social media marketing efforts, setting direction while overseeing content calendar
  • Manage internal and 3rd party social media and PR partners

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in brand marketing, public relations, and/or corporate communications
  • Proven track record of developing and executing brand marketing campaigns geared towards consumers and SMBs
  • Familiarity with digital and social media platforms and their role in modern communication strategies
  • Leadership skills with the ability to manage direct reports and influence a broader group
  • Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and adapt to changing circumstances
  • Passion for greentech and sustainability a major plus

They have engaged us to find an Associate Director, R&D Communications. This person must be able to work onsite 2 days/week. In this role, you will help shape and execute strategic communications that advance the scientific narrative, awareness, and thought leadership of the company’s industry-leading platform and exciting pipeline. This role will be responsible for leading internal and external communications of the President and the R&D Leadership team.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Drive and execute communications plans and media strategies that drive understanding of the company’s platform to elevate visibility.
  • Support the R&D Leadership Team with developing content for internal channels, including town hall presentations, talking points, videos, and blogs to boost engagement.
  • Enhance executive visibility and R&D Thought Leadership with earned media and byline opportunities.
  • Serve as a liaison for media outlets.
  • Write Q&As, messages, press releases, and presentations in support of pipeline milestones.
  • Collaborate with Creative team to develop engaging content for digital and social channels.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 8+ years of experience required from a biotech or pharmaceutical company – or an agency (comms or ad) that supports clients in the industry.
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills; strong oral communications skills and ability to convey complex science for a variety of audiences.
  • Ability to deliver products that engage, excite, and motivate audiences.
  • Ability to interact with all levels of the company top to bottom, including senior management.
  • Bachelor’s degree and advanced degrees required (e.g., PharmD/PhD/MPH).

Based out of our Boston headquarters, it serves as the senior-most creative leader of the company’s global portfolio. Responsibilities

  • Be a leading voice within the company fostering creative excellence and company mission, spread the word through various internal platforms and speak in public
  • Develop and execute the creative strategy
  • Manage/hire creative staff/creative leaders in each of the business units
  • Set a tone of collaboration within the creative team, leads with passion and demonstrates a can-do attitude to motivate teams.
  • Ensure creative excellence within UX, Dev, Production Management and Marketing, while helping support the function of those disciplines.
  • Partner with the Vice President of Marketing in each respective business to optimize process, and drive results.

Qualifications

  • 15+ years of experience working in a creative field, with a focus on marketing, advertising, branding, or communications
  • 6+ years of experience managing a multi-disciplinary creative department in an agency or client-side environment
  • Exceptional presentation, communication, and story-telling skills, a charismatic presence, and an ability to sell concepts and ideas at an executive level
  • An entrepreneurial spirit and the drive to implement new and better ways of thinking and working
  • A stunning portfolio of work that demonstrates your ability to develop and execute multi-channel creative ideas that drive sales
