Position Description: The Associate Producer supports the broader content team in researching, scheduling, organizing, field producing, editing and delivering compelling original content for online and on-air. The Associate Producer serves as the front line for assistance and management of necessary systems and reports to the Managing Producer, Content Initiatives.

 

Primary Responsibilities: The following primary responsibilities are vital to successfully meeting the expectations of this position in an effective and efficient manner. This is not an exhaustive list and areas of focus may fluctuate between the primary and secondary responsibilities, as needed.

·        Support content team in research, phone calls, field production setup, etc.

·        Assist in management of team’s Planner, deliverables tracking, and public filings.

·        Support writing and editing of scripts and field production.

·        Maintain database of contacts and media relations professionals for the community.

·        Support production of video shorts across platforms.

·        Prepare regular reports and written documents for projects.

·        Upload completed stories and programs for online platforms.

 

Secondary Responsibilities: These are additional activities that are expected to be performed with this position.

·        Assist in story production process with broader team.

·        Ability to produce short videos or stories for multiple platforms.

·        Collaborate within and across teams and represent content in needed meetings or events.

·        Support metadata management and archiving of content.

Qualifications: Associate’s degree required, with 1- 2 years or more of experience in journalism, communications, mass communication, video production or other related fields. Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, Word and other MS Office applications. Skills in video editing software (i.e. Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premiere, etc.), media management, and social media.

Hybrid Schedule: Due to this position’s need to support the entire content team, on-site work is required at least 3-4 days per week, and evening/weekend hours are required at times.

Position: Nine PBS is searching for an enthusiastic Events Manager with a positive attitude to lead our events to enhance our brand and grow our audience.

 

Nine PBS hosts numerous events annually, ranging from public screenings and PBS KIDS events to donor appreciations and occasional meet-and-greets with national PBS personalities. The Events Manager will function within a fast-paced, high intensity environment and will be responsible for planning and scheduling events, working with vendors, assisting with event marketing, and managing the execution of events. Responsibilities include timely booking and communication with vendors, invitation list management, compiling staff talking points, creating event diagrams and run-of-shows, coordinating with colleagues across the organization, creating and monitoring timelines and budgets, and leading all day-of tasks and a small group of support staff to execute seamless and memorable experiences.

The ideal candidate for this role should demonstrate exceptional project management, organizational abilities, interpersonal skills, oral and written communication skills, multi-tasking skills, and excellent time-management. This position reports to the Director of Communications on the marketing team, and works closely with the Production Facilities Manager to fully execute station events.   

Job Responsibilities

·      Supervise the Events Coordinator position, leading with integrity, self-awareness, clear direction, and a collaborative approach

·      Identify and fulfill event goals

·      Establish and manage event budgets

·      Envision and achieve creative event plans and long-term strategies

·      Collaborate across departments to deliver on event objectives

·      Prepare timelines and manage event logistics

·      Create and manage run-of-shows

·      Manage correspondence with guests

·      Book and maintain relationships with vendors, including caterers and entertainment

·      Negotiate quotes and agreements with vendors

·      Oversee vendors’ activities throughout the event

·      Manage day-of event flow

·      Lead day-of events staff and volunteers

·      Manage event layouts by creating and implementing design plans

·      Manage event sponsor needs

·      Coordinate event production with appropriate teams to identify audiovisual needs and other details

·      Manage virtual events on Zoom, Facebook Live, or other platforms in coordination with appropriate teams

·      Manage use of event equipment and technology (iPads, cash registers, credit card readers, etc.)

·      Provide post-event reporting and analysis

·      Approve and ensure timely payment of invoices

·      Oversee and maintain event supply inventory

·      Secure trade agreements with vendors

·      Flexible schedule with a mix of in-person and remote work, as agreed upon with supervisor and based on the day-to-day needs of the team

·      Weekend and evening availability based on the scheduling of events

·      Occasionally drive and/or travel on company business required

·      Regular, active participation in team meetings expected, either virtually or in person as determined by supervisor

Nine PBS: Marketing Coordinator

 

Position Description

Nine PBS is looking for a Marketing Coordinator to provide marketing and promotions assistance in several key areas. The Marketing Coordinator will keep promotional efforts moving forward including a lead role in our project management process and setting team meeting agendas. In addition, the position is responsible for implementing our paid media campaigns. The Marketing Coordinator provides backup to a number of team members and will work cross-departmentally to prioritize and implement strategies that grow and engage our audience.

Job Responsibilities

  • Assist in marketing strategies that advance Nine PBS’s brand identity and increase visibility across key audiences
  • Support a team of marketing professionals assisting with basic writing, design, printing, messaging, presentations, and special events
  • Implement paid media campaigns
  • Lead marketing project management process
  • Assist with setting team meeting agendas
  • Manage internal printing requests
  • Schedule event photographers and photo shoots
  • Create and produce corporate support sales flyers
  • Eventbrite registration set up and management
  • Assist with events logistics and scheduling
  • Ideate and assist with multi-channel marketing campaigns
  • Analyze audience insights, trends, market analysis, and marketing best practices to help build successful campaigns
  • Assist with archiving still photography
  • Regularly report progress and status of projects
  • Manage select projects with outside vendors
