New Wikileaks documents reveal how the Dr. Oz show operates behind the scenes.

Dr. Mehmet Oz often appears on his Dr. Oz popular to promote new health products and medical devices. Most people who watch the show believe he’s doing this to help mankind and teach people how to be healthy and make better life decisions. However, newly leaked emails suggest that it’s all about the money – it has nothing to do with health or science.

Last week, Wikileaks released hundreds of emails sent between Dr. Oz, his staff, and executives at Sony. They shed some light on how Dr. Oz’s daily talk show works behind the scenes and it’s scary.

Dr. Oz talks about promoting Sony products

In a January 2014 email, for instance, Dr. Oz reaches out to Michael Lynton, the CEO of Sony Entertainment about his interest in wearable fitness and health tracking devices.

“I have been carefully following the wearable device market and am pretty close to consummating a longer term relationship, but just saw the piece below quoting Kaz Hirai [the president and CEO of Sony] and realized that Sony is moving into the space as well,” Oz writes in an email. “We should leverage the Sony-driven success of our TV show into other arenas where Sony thrives, like health hardware.” [VOX]

The email points out that Dr. Oz is planning to use his talk show to promote and expand Sony’s fitness products. However, Dr. Oz does not point out or mention the health implications. He is more excited about working with Sony and pleasing the show’s producers.

But, it appears Dr. Mehmet Oz has a guilty conscience. Emails show both Sony and Oz’s staff are worried about the show’s growing critics. One email suggested Sony was concerned with Dr. Oz’s testimony before a Senate commerce subcommittee.

“Dr. Oz has not entered into a paid sponsorship arrangement to date, but would like to explore doing so in the future. We have apprised the appropriate parties of the risks associated with the future plans, as well as specific criticisms of Dr. Oz’s role in the national conversation about health that could emerge in the hearing or in subsequent coverage.” [VOX]

It is important to point out that producers did not want Dr. Oz to go to the Senate hearing. But, Dr. Oz was adamant about going.

“It’s also worth noting for the record that Harpo’s counsel is not in favor of Oz participating, especially when he’s not legally obligated to do so,” wrote Denise Beaudoin, the legal and business affairs counsel to The Dr. Oz Show, in an email. “They do not see the value of getting involved unless compelled by subpoena because there’s always the potential for downside (no matter how slight).”

Top acting coach, Cameron Thor, sexually assaulted an aspiring child actress. Now the actress tells all.

Cameron Thor was once a Hollywood working actor. Working on several big budget movies in the 1990s including a small role in ‘Jurassic Park’ (he played Lewis Dodgson, a villain who tries to steal dinosaur embroys) he made a name for himself in Tinseltown. Now, 55, he became a go-to acting coach in Los Angeles, California. With his acting studio, the Carter Thor Studio, hundreds of aspiring actors lined up to take acting classes from this working actor. The studio’s website brags about Sharon Stone and David Fincher giving “vibrant talks” there and a long list of A-list acting students including Cameron Diaz, Helen Hunt, Drew Carey, Faye Dunaway, Courteney Cox and Madonna.

However, this acting coach had a dark secret. On June 3, 2014 Los Angeles police filed 14 felony charges against him, including kidnapping and aggravated sexual assault and is now facing charges which include kidnapping with the intent to commit other crimes and multiple counts of lewd acts against child. Many of his victims of sexual violence remained quit for years before every coming forward and some never being able to speak openly about what happened to them.

In a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter, one victim opens up about the traumatizing experience with the ex-most popular acting coach in Hollywood. Jordyn Ladell, was a 12 year old aspiring actress who came from a troubled home. Her mother, an alcoholic, became friends with Thor at an Alcoholics Anonymous meeting. Using his alleged celebrity connections he enticed, a then 12 year old girl, to get free private acting lessons and pay for her braces. That’s when things started to get weird. He would often call her his “muse,” “minx” and even “sexy”. In addition, he would call and text her at all hours of the night.

The texts came at all hours of the day and night, sometimes in flurries, often with cryptic messages that she didn’t understand. Sometimes she might receive half a dozen texts in a day and wake up to find several more written during the night.

But, it would get a lot worse as soon as she started her “acting classes”.

Pattie [Jordyn’s mother] took Jordyn up the road to Thor’s house for her first lesson at around 9 a.m. on Tuesday, March 3, a school day. Thor welcomed Pattie and Jordyn into an artfully decorated home. The trio chatted briefly in the foyer. Thor then took Jordyn up to his bedroom, which had a four-poster bed, a bench and a balcony. Pattie waited in the car. Jordyn later testified that Thor got physical soon after the doors shut — touching her shoulders and rubbing her thighs. They read a script together, and at the end of the session he took her in his arms and gave her a long hug. He pressed himself into her. In testimony, Jordyn said, “He told me that he was hard.” She says Thor then gave her a paperback copy of A Streetcar Named Desire and sent her on her way.

At their next lesson, according to Jordyn’s testimony, Thor locked the bedroom door and began touching her chest. When Thor hugged her after the lesson, Jordyn testified: “I felt that [his penis] was hard. I felt it that time.” In the third session, Jordyn says Thor again locked the door, hugged her and told her that “I make him hard.” Jordyn testified that Thor “wouldn’t let me leave” even as she was texting her mother.

The sexual abuse hits a climax when he takes the young aspiring actor on a drive through the Hollywood Hills. At this point, Jordyn describes, in graphic detail, how she was raped.

She recalls “giving him what he wanted,” which was oral sex. She recalls a naked Thor towering above her. She recalls feeling terrible pain between her legs and seeing blood. Later, in court, Blatt asked her if she and Thor had had sex, and she was unwilling to definitively say it had happened. “I remember his pants were off and he was on top of me, but I don’t remember. I’m not positive. I remember I was sore the next couple of days and it hurt, but I wouldn’t want to say that something happened.” To me, she said, “I’m assuming he had sex with me, but I blocked it out — I don’t 100 percent know, but I had blood down there and it hurt really, really bad.”

Jordyn would later not tell anyone for six months. It would take an undercover investigation by the Los Angeles Police Department before he is arrested. To this day Thor is an acting coach at the Carter Thor Studio. Many of his friends and family came to his defense saying the incident did not occur and that Thor is a good person.
