Psychiatrists Watch Hundreds of Movies to Find the Most Realistic Psychopath

Psychiatrists studied 400 movies to find the most realistic psychopath.

According to one group of psychiatrists, Hollywood’s most famous serial killers are not realistic psychopaths. In fact, they may not be psychopaths at all.

Psychopathy is defined as a varying combination of violence and detachment with others. The most extreme psychopaths kill people without remorse, mutilate animals and people with as much emotion as you and I tie our shoes.

This is typically known as “idiopathic” psychopathy, but sometimes this disorder can be not as violent. You typically see this with people that are very good smooth talkers.

In 2014, the Belgian psychiatry professor Samuel Leistedt wanted to see which movie characters were the most realistic psychopath actors. So, he and his friends watched 400 movies over the course of three years. Starting from 1915 to 2010, they ended up with 126 psychopathic characters, with 105 being men.

The most realistic serial killer wasAnton Chigurh, “No Country for Old Men.” In addition, Henry Lee Lucas, “Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer.”

No Country for Old Men is a classic example of a psychopath.

“He seems to be effectively invulnerable and resistant to any form of emotion or humanity,” Leistedt writes.

The most unrealistic psychopath was Patrick Bateman from “American Psycho” and Norman Bates from “Psycho.” While they are very entertaining or scary, Leistedt and his team point out that they do not fit the typical mold of a psychopath.

Two years ago, an aspiring actor walked around Atlanta, Georgia and allegedly shot and killed homeless men and women throughout the city. He was called a serial killer. The man was later captured by city police officers but, it begs the question? Are actors psychopaths?

Kevin Hart Bashes Fan: I Don’t Make ‘Black Movies’

Kevin Hart wasn’t too happy when he noticed a Twitter comment that criticized his movies.

“When are black celebs like @KevinHart4real and @MarlonWayans gonna stop doing stereotypical movies?” TaShyon Laneigh tweeted on Thursday.

Kevin Hart’s new movie Ride Along 2 came out earlier this month, and MarlonWayans movie, Fifty Shades of Grey, was released on Firday.

A few hours later, the comedian fired back at the comment, writing: “When are black people going to stop being so hard on their own kind…We can’t do better until we support each other.”

Kevin Hart, who has been traveling across Europe promoting his new movie Ride Along 2, added: “I make movies for everyone, I’m actually overseas promoting my movie on an international level.”

And several of Kevin Hart’s fans seemed to support the comedian/actor. “I’m busting my a** so other actors of color can eventually get the title ‘Black Movie Category’ removed from the projects that we do,” he continued.

Kevin Hart added: “So @tashyonlaneigh, I want you to realize that people with your mindset and level of thinking are the reason why our movies get categorized.”

“In the future @tashyonlaneigh, I don’t want to hear you complain about any of the problems that black actors are having because you’re part of the problem.”

Kevin Hart then used the time to promote his new movie: “With that being said go see Ride Along 2 because it’s a good ‘MOVIE’ …now back to your regular scheduled programs ???.”

Kevin Hart’s Twitter comments came only a few hours after it was announced he will be presenting at this year’s Academy Awards despite several A-list actors boycotting the event due to the lack of diversity in the acting categories. In fact, Kevin Hart’s Ride Along 2 co-star, bashed the Oscars after his N.W.A biopic, Straight Outta Compton, was snubbed by the Academy.

The film only earned one nomination for Best Original Screenplay and none of the cast members were invited to attend. “I’m not pissed. You know, I’m not surprised,” Cube said during his appearance on The Wendy Williams Show. “It’s the Oscars, they do what they do.”

‘Orange is the New Black’ Actress Accused of HeadButting Makeup Artist

Orange is the New Black’s Taryn Manning is accused of attacking makeup artist in her New York City apartment.

According to reports, actress Taryn Manning has been accused of being involved in a serious fight with makeup artists Holly Hartman.

The Orange is the New Black star allegedly headbutted Hartman, sprayed windex in her eyes, and put her in a headlock, according to TMZ.

Hartman has since filed a restraining order over the alleged incident, which occurred in November.

A judge declined to grant Hartman the restraining order, arguing that she filed it in Los Angeles, but the incident took place in New York.

According to People magazine, The Orange is the New Black Star, has not had any contact with the makeup artist. But, it’s important to point out that the two have had a long history together. Manning was arrested in 2012 for allegedly assault Hartman. Those charges were later dropped.

In her restraining order, Hartman reportedly claims Manning yelled, “I’m wearing a white shirt there will be a lot of blood. You will be famous for killing Taryn Manning.”

Manning, who plays Tiffany Doggett on OITNB, also starred in Hustle and Flow, 8 Mile and Crazy/Beautiful.

‘Straight Outta Compton’ Cast Was Not Invited to The Oscars

The cast of the box-office hit movie Straight Outta Compton was not invited to this year’s Oscars.

Following this year’s Oscars’ backlash over the Academy not nominating a single actor of color, it turns out the awards ceremony also chose not to invte the cast of Straight Outta Compton and its producer Ice Cube.

The N.W.A founding member and rap legend broke the news with TMZ, shocking many many people considering it was one of the biggest movies of 2015, grossing over $200 million at the box office worldwide.

But, the Oscars did, however, invite the two Caucasian writers who were nominated for best original screenplay.

Despite getting snubbed at the Oscars, Ice Cube says he would’ve declined an invitation anway. He will be attending the SAG Awards and NAACP Image Awards, which both nominated Straight Outta Compton. 

This news comes as Will Smith said he’s pleased with the quick and immediate action of the Academy rule changes. And his belief that he wants to be the solution America’s diversity problem.

Why Hollywood Publicists Are Freaking Out About This Year’s Oscars

Hollywood PR reps are worried A-list celebrities can’t answer diversity and inequality questions

Following the public backlash at the lack of diversity of this year’s Oscar nominations, it is expected that press covering this year’s Academy Awards will ask celebrities questions surrounding racism and inequality in the film industry. And this has Hollywood publicists freaking out.

According to Page Six, Hollywood PR professionals are worried about their A-list clients making offensive remarks when asked about diversity and inequality at this year’s oscars.

The frazzled flacks are coaching clients behind the scenes at the Sundance Film Festival on how to answer often-asked media questions.

“Reps are having emergency meetings with their stars to go over how to answer these questions,” says an insider. One wrong word can cause an uproar.

Earlier this week Kristen Stewart made headlines this week when she was asked about the gender gap, and she told women to “do something,” instead of complaining.

Also, following the Golden Globes, Jennifer Lawrence made headlines after a foreign reporter asked her a question while on his cell phone. This sparked a tirade where Lawrence bashed the reporter for not living his life.

Netflix Renews ‘House of Cards’ For Another Season

Netflix has renewed their Baltimore filmed hit drama House of Cards for a fifth season.

But there will be a change behind the scenes as the show’s creator and showrunner Beau Willimon will be leaving.

House of Cards season 4 hits Netflix on March 4th and stars Kevin Spacey. It is also reported that Kevin Spacey will be returning for season five.

“Netflix and MRC owe a tremendous debt of gratitude to Beau Willimon for his strong narrative vision for ‘House of Cards‘ over the show’s first four seasons. As an Academy Award nominated writer, he made his first foray into television and built a riveting and critically acclaimed series, establishing his place in TV history. The producers, cast and crew join us in wishing Beau the best in his next creative adventure,” Netflix said in a statement.

Tyler Perry’s ‘Passion’ Casts Hispanic Actor to Play Jesus

Tyler Perry‘s new Fox live musical, Passion, casts their Jesus and Judas.

The Passion, Fox’s Biblical live musical, has found its Jesus Christ, casting singer/actor Jencarlos Canela from the Eva Longoria series Telenovela in the lead role.

In addition, Tyler Perry has cast Chris Daughtry as the disciple Judas. The two actors join Tyler Perry and cast members Prince Royce (Peter) and Trisha Yearwood (Mary).

The special will air live from New Orleans on Palm Sunday, March 20.

Written by Peter Barsocchini from The High School Musical, The Passion tells the story of the last hours of Jesus Christ’s life on earth through passages from the Bible and a variety of popular music, sung by the cast.

The special will be staged live at several New Orleans locations including hundreds of people carrying a 20-foot, illuminated cross from outside the Superdome to the live stage at Woldenburg Park on the banks of the Mississippi River.

Money Monster starring George Clooney is now casting kid actors in New York City.

Grant Wilfley Casting is looking for actors, models, and talent to work on the new George Clooney movie, Money Monsters. 

Producers are looking for African American boys and girls to play South African children to work on Money Monster.

Filming is scheduled for Sunday, January 31st in New York City.

Money MonsterMoney Monster centers around Lee Gates, a TV personality whose insider tips have made him the money guru of Wall Street. When Kyle loses all of his family’s money on a bad tip, he holds Lee and his entire show hostage on air threatening to kill Lee if he does not get the stock up 24 and a half points before the bell. Ratings soar as the entire country tunes in to this media frenzy to find out just how much a man’s life is worth. Meanwhile, the hostage situation sheds light on a possible scandal involving the company in question. With elements of Dog Day Afternoon and Network, Money Monster is a very timely piece in these economic times.

Money Monster features George Clooney, Julia Roberts, and Jack O’Connell. According to reports, Money Monster will be directed by Jodi Foster.
