Tyler Perry is now casting for ‘The Passion‘ in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Tyler Perry’s The Passion is now casting actors, models, and talent to work on the upcoming Easter production in New Orleans, Louisiana. According to the casting call, Central Casting is looking for men and women over the age of 18, to work with choreographers who are designing the staging for the future live event. No dancing will take place but you must be able to take stage direction well.

About Fox’s The Passion:

The upcoming production titled The Passion, will air on Palm Sunday and will center around Jesus of Nazareth, focusing on the Last Supper and his betrayal by Judas to his trial by Pontius Pilate, conviction, crucifixion and resurrection. But, the historical account will come with a twist as the story will be set in mondern-day New Orleans, Tyler Perry’s hometown.

‘Battlestar Galactica’ Movie is Coming Soon

Battlestar Galactica movie is coming soon.

Hollywood producer Michael De Luca is teaming up with Scott Stuber and Dylan Clark of Bluegrass Films to produce the movie for Universal, which is hoping launch a massive franchise.

Galacticia was a short-lived TV series that gained a major cult following. The series aired on ABC from 1978 to 1979.

The show was rebooted from the post 9/11 world in 2004 as a politically charged series that ran for five years on SyFy.

As the show was coming to an end, Universal began developing the property as a movie, hiring X-Men’s Bryan Singer to direct it with several screenwriters attached. However, the movie never took off until now.

The premise of the show centered around human civilization on distant planets being wiped out by machines known as Cylons. The survivors were able to escape on starships, and travel to Earth.

De Luca is one of the producers of the Fifty Shades of Grey movies and worked on the 2014 monster movie Dracula Untold. 

In addition, Stuber’s Bluegrass Films just finished working on Ted 2 and is currently developing a Boston Marathon movie starring Mark Wahlberg.

Meryl Streep Bashed for Saying: “We Are All Africans”

Meryl Streep may be loved by Hollywood, the Academy and fans, but she isn’t making any friends in the Black community.

The Oscar-winning actress is facing a major backlash after she told reporters, “we are all Africans.” However, she wasn’t talking about diversity, like many news outlets are reporting.

So what happened? Well, it all started when Streep, who is the head of the Berlinale Film Festival jury this year, was asked by reporters how she felt about the fact that the seven-member panel of judges is all white.

Considering the recent outrage around #OscarsSoWhite and the lack of diversity in general, it seemed like a pretty fair question.

Streep responded by saying she is committed to eqaulity and inclusion “of all geneders, races, ethnicities, religions.”

She then went on to point out the makeup of the jury is, in fact, somewhat diverse – at least when it came to gender lines: “This jury is evidence that at least women are included and in fact dominate this jury, and that’s an unusual situation in bodies of people who make decisions,” Streep said. “So I think the Berlinale is ahead of the game.”

But, when she was asked about her knowledge of African movies, Streep reportedly said, “The thing I’ve noticed from my (different) roles is there is a core of humanity that travels right through every culture. And, after all, we’re all from Africa, originally. We’re all Berliners. We’re all Africans, really.”

However, Twitter is bashing the Academy Award winning actress:

This is not the first time in recent months that Streep has found herself in hot water over her statements regarding race. Last year, she was bashed by the African American community for a marketing campaign she launched for her movie, Suffragette. In the movie, Meryl Streep plays a British political activist Emmeline Pankhurst, who fought to get women the right to vote in the late 1800s. To promote the movie, Meryl Streep and co-stars posed with T-Shirts that read “I’d Rather Be a Rebel Than a Slave.”

The quote hanged a lot of people, particularly African Americans who feel the quote reflects white privilege.

Walking Dead: AMC Reveals First Few Minutes of Mid-Season Premiere [VIDEO]

The Walking Dead releases first few minutes of the mid-season premiere.

On Wednesday, AMC released the first four minutes of the mid-season premiere, which finds Daryl (Norman Reedus), Abraham (Michael Cudlitz), and Sasha (Sonequa Martin-Green) traveling back to Alexandria, oblivious to the hell unfolding there.

In a post-credits screen following last November’s midseason finale, we saw the trio being stopped by Nega’s motorcycle gang, and that’s where this teaser picks up. What follows is a standoff that doesn’t look too good for our heroes.

Besides leaving us on a major cliffhanger, the preview also includes the first mention of Negan, the most feared villain in the Walking Dead series. Jeffrey Dean Morgan has nabbed the role of the big bad, and he will reportedly make his debut in the season six finale, before appearing as a series regular in the already-ordered seventh season.

Entertainment weekly recently spoke to Andrew Lincoln about the rest of Season 6 and he painted a shockingly serious picture of what’s to come.

“I felt sick to my stomach when I read the script,” Lincoln said. “It was the first day in the whole six years of working on The Walking Dead that I was late for work because I woke up in the middle of the night and I couldn’t get back to sleep. I was so angry and frustrated and I felt sick. And that was just after reading it.”

‘The Walking Dead’ Teams Up with Hallmark for Valentine’s Day Cards

The Walking Dead is steaming up with Hallmark for zombie themed Valentine’s Day cards.

The Walking Dead has returned from its mid-season break on Valentine’s Day weekend every year since season two, but season six is the first time an episode will actually land on the big romantic day. So it seems fitting that AMC and Hallmark have teamed up to release a new series of zombie themed eCards you can send to your significant other.

The animated cards feature images of zombies paired with cute puns like, “Love you to pieces,” “I could just eat you up” and “I could give you my heart — don’t eat it all in one sitting.”

The Walking Dead will finish its sixth season with an eight-episode run that begins with Rick and the gang stuck in Alexandria after November’s gruesome mid-season finale.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Andrew Lincoln promised the first episode would include several major revelations about Rick, while the rest of the season would move swiftly as the group establishes their new home.

“Rick’s strength is seeing that we can fortify this place,” Lincoln said. “A lot of these concerns and questions get answered relatively quickly in the first two or three episodes of this back eight. There is a time jump, I will say, at some point. And you will see why we stay in Alexandria.”

A New Harry Potter Book is Coming Soon: ‘Cursed Child Parts’

Get ready, a new Harry Potter book is coming soon.

Earlier today, Pottermore announced that the script for Cursed Child Parts I & II, the original Harry Potter play that J.K. Rowling said is “not a prequel,” will be released in book form on July 31. Here’s the plot synopsis:

The eighth story. Nineteen years later. It was always difficult being Harry Potter and it isn’t much easier now that he is an overworked employee of the Ministry of Magic, a husband, and father of three school-age children. While Harry grapples with a past that refuses to stay where it belongs, his youngest son Albus must struggle with the weight of a family legacy he never wanted. As past and present fuse ominously, both father and son learn the uncomfortable truth: sometimes darkness comes from unexpected places.

Yes, it’s a new Harry Potter story but, the story was written by J.K. Rowling, as well as Jack Thorne and John Tiffany.

Expect three new Harry Potter movies to hit theaters in the next five years.

Deadpool May Have a Boyfriend in ‘Deadpool 2’

Deadpool may be gay in the next Deadpool movie.

One of the reasons why Deadpool is so popular in the comic book world is that he does whatever he wants. That extends to his sex life, and it’s something his movies may illustrate in the future.

The creative team for the movie was asked on whether or not Deadpool would have a boyfriend and everyone seems pretty open to it. Ryan Reynolds, director Tim Miller, and producer Simon Kinberg, when asked about it, all said they would like to see it happen, and the script makes subtle references to it despite it being a movie about saving the girl.

Deadpool might be in a unique place to make this movie actually happen.

Typically, the big stopping point to gay leads isn’t moviegoers in America. The biggest issue is foreign filmgoers. Hollywood makes a lot of money from International box offices, China in particular, and they’re worried about alienating them.

But because Deadpool is already banned in China, and Fox is expected to make millions off the movie anyway, it may become a non-issue. Deadpool can be as wild and politically incorrect as he wants to be.

That being said, who can play Deadpool’s boyfriend in the next movie? Hugh Jackman?

AMC Accidentally LEAKS Major Walking Dead Spoiler

Here’s a major Walking Dead season 6 spoiler that you don’t want to miss.

AMC has a history of spoiling things on The Walking Dead, and it looks like the network has done it again thanks to an international promo photo apparently coming from Russia.

While the photo has not been verified by the network, it certainly looks legitimate. In it, Carl Grimes, AKA Chandler Riggs, has a bandage wrapped around his head covering his right eye.

The Walking DeadAs The Walking Dead comic book readers know, Rick Grimes’ son lost his eye in Issue 83 after he was accidentally shot by Douglas Monroe, who was replaced by the now-deceased Deanna Monroe on the small screen.

While this foreign teaser art has not been verified, Chandler was spotted walking around The Walking Dead set in Atlanta with an eye patch back in August, so it certainly looks like something bad is coming soon.

The Walking Dead Season 6 midseason premiere airs Sunday, February 14, at 9 p.m. ET on AMC.

Cindy Kimberly: Justin Bieber’s Instagram Crush is Now a Model

Spanish 17-year-old who was made famous when Justin Bieber posted her photo, saying “OMG who is this?” quits her babysitting job to sign a major deal with a modeling agency.

Cindy Kimberly, 17, earned barely $6/hour working as a babysitter in Spain. Now she has signed a deal with a top Spanish modeling agency.

The pop star made Kimberly famous after posting a picture of her on his Instagram account in December and asking “OMG who is this!”

She was subsequently discovered as a Dutch-born student living in the Costa Blanca resort of Denia who made money by babysitting for a few dollars an hour.

It was later revealed that she was picked up by Uno Models, which has offices in Barcelona and Madrid.

The prestigious agency posted a picture of the teen on their website along with the message: “Cindy Kimberly, now with Uno.”

The news was made public hours after she appeared at a fashion show in Madrid as the face of a comsmetics company. She is expected to make her catwalk debut later this month at the prestigious Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Madrid, the country’s biggest fashion show.

Cindy, who is still in school, admitted last month she felt like she was “living a fairytale” when she discovered Justin Bieber was a fan.

She told a Spanish celeb website: ‘When I saw Justin was asking about me I got very emotional because I’ve been a fan of his for more than six years.

‘It seems like a fairytale.

‘A friend of mine often used to joke that one day I’d be one of the girls he talked about and I didn’t believe her. My life’s changed positively since Justin appeared in my life. At the beginning I felt completely overwhelmed and didn’t know how to deal with it but now I’m getting used to it.’

Nearly a million people now follow the Cindy Kimberly on Instagram thanks to Justin’s interest.

This New Oscars Rule Will Change Speeches Forever

The producers of the 2016 Oscars are introducing a new way for winners to express their gratitude.

Get ready to meet the new Oscar scroll, a relative of the cable news ticker tape!

In order to eliminate the tradition of flustered winning speeches, Reginald Hudlin and David Hill, who are producing the 88th Academy Awards, are introducing a new way for the winners to acknowledge all their thank-yous.

Nominees are being asked to submit a list of those they would like to thank should they win in advance of the Feb. 28 broadcast, which will air live on ABC, and then if they are called to the stage, a scroll of the names of those they wish to thank will run across the bottom of the screen.

In previous shows, Hill explained: “Acceptance speeches have become a list of names and more often than not, time ran out before something could be spoken from the heart about the art, about the vision, about the experience, about the meaning of the moment.” He added, “We needed to rethink how this could be a better experience for everyone.”

The new approach could create a new wave of award winning speeches. In the past, a winner could always say they forgot to thank a friend, family member or a producer. Now, since nominees will have time to decide exactly whom to thank in advance, they will have to come up with a better excuse if they forget.
