‘Last Flag Flying’ Pittsburgh Casting Call for Train Passengers

Last Flag Flying is now casting train passengers in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

Movie Casting PGH is now casting actors, models, and talent to fill a few spots following cancellations. Casting directors are looking for bar patrons to work on the scene filming this November 15th in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

About Last Flag Flying:

According to reports, Bryan Cranston, Steve Carell and Laurence Fishburne will star in the sequel to Last Flag Flying, a sequel to the 1974 Jack Nicholson movie The Last Detail. Jack Nicholson, Randy Quaid and Otis Young starred in the moving adaptation of Darryl Ponsican’s novel of the same name, about two members of the Navy showing a third a good time while escorting him to prison for petty crime.

“Last Flag Flying” catches up with the main trio later in life, as the Quaid character (presumably Carell in this version) requests his old friends’ help bringing home the body of his son, who died in the Iraq War.

Disney’s ‘Oliver Twist’ Starring Ice Cube Coming Soon

Disney is partnering with Ice Cube to create a musical version of Charles Dickens’ Oliver Twist. 

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Disney Studios is teaming with Ice Cube and Tony-winning director of Hamilton, Thomas Kail.

Oliver Twist is one of Charles Dickens’ most popular works and centers around an orphan boy who leaves a life as an exploited child slave to joining a London gang.

The new Oliver Twist will be a modern musical with THR’s sources calling it a hip-hop musical. Ice Cube will be attached to play Fargin, the leader of the London gang.

This news comes after Ice Cube found success with Straight Outta Compton and Ride Along 2. Ice Cube will star in the Atlanta filmed Fist Fight, which is set to hit theaters on February 17th.

Millions of Walking Dead fans are traveling to Senoia, Georgia, the show’s main filming location, in order to catch a glimpse of the hit zombie drama. Whether they are trying to see the cast and crew, or taking a tour of the show’s filming locations, fans know Senoia is the place to go for the complete Walking Dead experience and now, that experience can even include a TWD themed wedding.

Did you know that every year the SAG-AFTRA Foundation gives more than $400,000 in scholarships to eligible SAG-AFTRA members and their dependents?

SAG-AFTRA gives over $400,000 in scholarships to actors, voice actors and other SAG-AFTRA members to pay for their classes at licensed universities, colleges, junior colleges, adult specialty schools and trade/vocational schools.

There are three types of scholarships:

The John L. Dales Standard Scholarship is awarded to eligible SAG-AFTRA members and their dependents for study at accredited institutions of higher education;

the John L. Dales Transitional Scholarship is awarded to eligible SAG-AFTRA members to pursue related professions within the entertainment industry or change their career paths;

And the George Heller Memorial Scholarship is awarded to eligible SAG-AFTRA members and their dependents for study at accredited institutions of higher education.

The SAG-AFTRA Foundation Scholarships are available for eligible SAG-AFTRA members and their dependents and made possible through gifts, grants and sponsorships. The Foundation never draws on SAG-AFTRA dues or initiation fees.

Creepy Talent Agency Scam Hits Snapchat

Scam artists are using Snapchat to recruit young girls

Using the instant messaging app Snapchat, a fake ACA Models account sent messages directing to teenagers and young women. The recipients were told they could earn anywhere between $900 to $110,000 by working for the model and promotions company.

Alison Campbell, the agency’s boss, was alerted to the fake account on Saturday, after her friend’s daughter received a message.

And she stressed that her company does not recruit models online.

The Snapchat profile claimed to be from “Louise” who said she worked as head of recruitment for ACA Models agency.

The reason I have added you, is because after looking at least one of your Instagram photos we have decided that you are suitable to model for our agency,” the message said.

“We are offering between £450 and £55,000 a shoot depending on who we put you forward for.

“In terms of different types of modelling we literally do every single type you could think of. Obviously the more you are interested in the better chance you have of getting jobs.

“This is a one-off opportunity and we are looking for 30 new models. This is purely based on a first come, first served basis.

“If you are interested, then please give me a message asap.

“Bear in mind the reason why we have added you to our company Snapchat account is because we are interested in you as well.”

ACA model, Leanne McDowell, issued a warning online not to accept messages from the fake account.

Many of the messages were sent early Saturday morning and encouraging the teens and women to send pictures of themselves.

Miss Campbell also posted a warning on the official ACA Models Facebook page.

“I started getting lots of private messages from people asking if we were recruiting on Snapchat,” she said. “Then I got a message from a 14-year-old girl asking if we were taking on new models through the app, as she had been asked to join.

“The young girl wrote back saying she was interested and that she would love to be a model and has always been interested.

“The person wrote back asking for some pictures of her and she sent some head pictures.

“The person replied and said they would like to see some body pictures.

“Fortunately she alerted her mum to the account after that.

“It’s very dangerous. We definitely don’t contact people through social media or send any alerts to any random people.

“It’s happened in the past – people have been in Belfast city and went up to people saying they were from ACA Models and were scouting and asked for details.”

Sadly, this scam is spreading to other talent agencies. Talent agency, Assets Model Agency took to Facebook to announce that a scam artist is trying to recruit models using their name.

“IMPORTANT NOTICE ~ We have had several emails and calls this morning with regard to a FAKE snapchat account contacting girls ~ the ONLY snapchat account is assets-models …If anyone contacts you from assetsmodels01 or assetsmodels1 this is a FAKE account. Please do not send any pictures to this account. Please report or block this account. Thank you”

If someone is trying to recruit you on Snapchat, it is probably a scam. Please report this account or do your research before sending any photos or videos.

China and Abu Dhabi Partnering To Invest in the Film Industry

China Intercontinental Communication Center and Abu Dhabi’s Image Nation have come together to form a new long-term strategic partnership, which will include a new international film and TV programming fund and training opportunities.

The International fund, which will be known as the The Culture China Image Nation Content Fund, is set to launch with an estimated $300 million for investment in mainstream film and TV programming from Hollywood, China and other countries.

The seven-year fund has a capital base of $100 million, contributed equally by the two founding organizations, and will seek other China based business for business development program.

The agreement was signed in Abu Dhabi, in the presence of Mohammed Al Mubarak, chairman of Image Nation; Michael Garin, CEO of Image Nation; Mr Jing Shiquing, vice president of CICC; and Omar Al Bitar, vice president of Emirates Diplomatic Academy.

HE Mohamed Al Mubarak said of the new partnership: “Thanks to the close historical relationship between the UAE and China, Abu Dhabi has quickly become the anchor for China’s outreach efforts to the Middle East and North Africa.

At the start of this year I had the pleasure of visiting China with a delegation from the UAE and spent time with our new partners at CICC, where I saw first hand the impressive developments in the Chinese film and television industries.  We are honored to extend Abu Dhabi’s relationship with China into the media industry, a sector of great importance to both countries.”

Tom Cruise’s ‘Mission Impossible 6’ is Coming Soon

Mission: Impossible 6 is coming soon.

Paramount announced the release dates for several feature films, including the next installment in Tom Cruise’s hit box office franchise, Mission: Impossible. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Mission: Impossible 6 will hit theaters on July 27, 2018.

Mission Impossible is the 18th highest grossing film series of all time with over $2 billion worldwide. The latest Mission: Impossible Movie, Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation was huge in the box office. The movie went on to gross $195 million in North America and $682 million worldwide, becoming the second highest-grossing film in the series.

On July 28, Tom Cruise confirmed on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart that a sixth Mission: Impossible film was being developed and will, it is hoped, begin production in 2016. Christopher McQuarrie announced that he will be returning to direct the sixth film and Ferguson will be reprising her role as Ilsa Faust as well.

On Sunday’s episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians, Kim, the mother of two, opened up about her desire to have another child. When the reality star consulted with two different doctors, both advised her not to get pregnant again. The two doctors told her it “wouldn’t be safe” for her to get pregnant again.

It’s important to point out that during Kim Kardashian’s first two pregnancies, she experienced “difficulties” and if she were to get pregnant it would be considered a “high risk pregnancy.”

‘Gone Girl’s Rosamund Pike Shares Amazing Acting Tips

Here’s some amazing acting advice from actress Rosamund Pike.

Rosamund Pike played a manipulative and psychopathic Amy Dunne in the hit thriller Gone Girl. Her acting was so incredibly believable and shockingly amazing. But, Pike, 37, revealed she had an unusual method when it came to rehearsing her sex scenes for the film, when she appeared on The Graham Norton Show.

She explained: ‘I rehearsed with a Dora the Explorer doll in my back yard, probably in full view of the neighbors.’

And it wasn’t just practicing the sex scenes that she focused her attention on ahead of filming. Rosamund Pike also got violent with pieces of meat at a butchers to replicate Anne’s killer instinct.

She told Graham: ‘I’d never cut anyone’s throat so I went to a local butchers and with great determination set about the carcasses with a Stanley knife in full view of customers.’

Concentrate on things we can control… work ethic, attitude, faith etc. We all wear a lot of hats in today’s crazy life we live and the one I’m most proud of is being a father to two beautiful young daughters. At this time the only thing I can do for them is to continue to try my best to lead by example. Apparently a 2.5 ton truck rolled over Orr’s stomach, but miraculously, his injuries were life-threatening and the young actor was released from the hospital just three days later.

2. Norman Reedus

You may think only the background extras were hurt on set of The Walking Dead, but Norman Reedus revealed the time he hurt himself on set, while filming the episode “Them,”:

“I liked us in the barn. Yeah, I liked in the barn, we’re getting overrun by walkers and the storm comes…I actually cut my arm up during that. And they got it on camera. But it didn’t make the cut. They said they actually saw my arm opening up and blood start coming out of my arm on camera.”

Ultimately, the episode’s director decided to cut the scene from the episode.

3. Soda machine vs. Norman Reedus

While filming an episode of The Walking Dead, Norman Reedus hurt himself by reaching into a vending machine and cutting his finger on the glass. In an interview with EW, Reedus asked the question that everyone was thinking:

“Why am I always getting hurt? I get hurt all the time. I feel like I should have like football pads on at all times, even when I’m just walking around.”

4. Car Accident

While driving his motorbike on set with Steven Yeun, Reedus and his co-star witnessed a car accident and stopped to make sure that everyone was okay. Fans were obviously shocked and awed by the selflessness of Yeun and Reedus. But what really excited them was the fact that both of the actors were heading on set to film new episodes for Season 7, at the time it felt like they both might have made it into Season 7.
