Netflix is now casting middle school students in Atlanta, Georgia.

Casting TaylorMade is now casting for a POPULAR NETFLIX SERIES SET IN THE 1980S. While we cannot say the name of the show, this is one project you do not want to miss.

Casting directors are looking for middle school students with 1980’s hair lengths on January 24th and 25th in Atlanta, Georgia. Producers are looking for Caucasian middle school students with 1980’s hair lengths between the ages of 9 to 13 years old.

Kevin Spacey’s new TV series MANIFESTO is now casting speaking roles in Atlanta, Georgia.

UMMI is now looking for talent to work on the new Kevin Spacey series MANIFESTO in Atlanta, Georgia. UMMI is now submitting talent to work on Episode 108 “The United States of America versus Theodore J. Kaczynski”. Filming will take place between January 30th through April 12th.

About MANIFESTO:

Variety reports that the new series “Manifesto” will center around the story of how the FBI brought down one of the most infamous criminal masterminds in the world — Ted Kaczynski, also known as the Unabomber — from the point of view of an FBI profiler.

UMMI is currently submitting talent for MANIFESTO, Episode 108, “The United States of America versus Theodore J. Kaczynski”. Must be SAG or SAG-eligible. This episode is also in Block 1 of filming for Manifesto. The current shoot window is Jan. 30th to April 12th 2017.

STORY LINE: In 1995, it’s been fifteen years and the identity of the Unabomber is still a mystery. Criminal profiler JIM “FITZ” FITZGERALD, a recent graduate of the FBI Behavioral Analysis Unit, joins the FBI Unabomber task force – and offers a fresh perspective on the investigation.

REQUIREMENTS/ROLE(S)

  • [LINDA PATRIK] – Mid 40s, Caucasian, David Kaczinski’s wife, she’s reading the Washington Post at a cafe in Paris when she has a startling epiphany that the Unabomber just may be her brother-in-law, Ted Kaczynski. She immediately calls her husband long distance and urges him to buy and read the paper. RECURRING ROLE.
  • [JUDGE GARLAND BURRELL] – Mid to late 40s, African American, thoughtful and in control, unwavering and decisive, Judge Burrell presides at the Unabomber case. As he hands down sentencing, he cannot contain his disgust. Outraged by Ted Kaczynski’s monstrous crimes, he only wishes he could somehow inflict upon the defendant the suffering of his victims. GUEST STAR.
  • [STEVE FRECCERO] – Mid to late 30s, Caucasian, he is one of the prosecuting attorneys on the Unabomber case. Driven and hard-working, pleased by Fitz’s efforts to keep the trial going forward, he later solemnly introduces those who had been victimized by Ted Kaczynski’s murderous attacks. RECURRING ROLE.
  • [SUSAN MOSSER] – 40s, Caucasian, mother of three young daughters, she is the wife of Thomas Mosser, killed by Ted Kaczynski. Her statement at the trial is heart-breaking and poignant. 1 long speech, 1 scene.
  • [GARY WRIGHT] – 40s, Caucasian, genial and gentle, he is the eleventh victim of the Unabomber who reads his statement at the trial. 1 long speech, 1 scene.
  • [DAVID GELERNTER] – 40, Caucasian, is a professor of Computer Science at Yale and another of Ted Kaczynski’s victims, who lost an eye and the use of his right hand. At the trial, he speaks out passionately about the evil done to him. 1 long speech, 1 scene.
  • [THE CLERK] – He/she is the Court Clerk at the case of The United States versus Theodore J. Kaczynski. 2 lines, 2 scenes.
  • [PATRICK FISCHER’S SECRETARY (JANET SMITH)] – She is the secretary to Patrick Fischer, chairman of the computer sciences department at Vanderbilt University in Nashville. She, too, was a victim of the Unabomber, seen later at Ted Kaczynski’s trial. 1 scene.

‘Untouchables’ Starring Kevin Hart Open Casting Call

Kevin Hart’s The Untouchables open casting call in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Kevin Hart’s new movie is now casting background extras in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Heery Loftus Casting is looking for SAG-AFTRA and non-union background extras to work on a currently “untitled buddy drama” that will be shooting in the Philly area.

About Kevin Hart’s new movie The Untouchables:

Bryan Cranston and Kevin Hart are possibly two actors that you would never assume would work together, which is probably a good thing as the two actors will be working on the upcoming remake of the international French-language movie The Intouchables. 

The original movie starred Francois Cluzet and Omar Sy and told of the unlikely friendship that develops between a white quadriplegic millionaire and his black caregiver. The movie was made in 2011 for about $12 million and earned close to $430 million worldwide.

Why Facebook’s Risky Investment is Amazing for Aspiring Actors

Facebook is working on creating original programming, which means more acting jobs in the film industry.

On Wednesday, Facebook’s CEO Mark Zuckerberg announced that the company will be increasing the amount of video content on the social network. However, we are not talking about cat videos, according to the Hollywood Reporter, Facebook is going to start launching original programming.

According to reports, Mark Zuckerberg is meeting with video producers about creating shows specifically for Facebook. The program is led by CollegeHumor co-founder who moved to Facebook to become the head of global creative strategy.

In a statement, Van Veen announced that money is being used to create high-quality content for Facebook’s new video tab, which could mean more job opportunities for aspiring actors.

“Earlier this year, we started rolling out the Video tab, a dedicated place for video on Facebook,” he said. “Our goal is to kickstart an ecosystem of partner content for the tab, so we’re exploring funding some seed video content, including original and licensed scripted, unscripted and sports content, that takes advantage of mobile and the social interaction unique to Facebook. Our goal is to show people what is possible on the platform and learn as we continue to work with video partners around the world.”

While the program is still in its preliminary stage, Facebook is not announcing which companies the social network is working with or what kind of shows they are interested in creating.

The Hollywood Reporter reports that Facebook’s decision to create original content on Facebook is to create a higher level of quality on the social network.  The same thing occurred when YouTube received $100 million in funding to partner with Hollywood digital media companies to create new channels and higher quality videos.

Disney to Film ‘Shadows’ Down South

The Walt Disney Co. has filed paperwork in Louisiana to shoot the first season of Shadows in the state.

According to NOLA.com, Walt Disney Co. is working on a new TV series in Louisiana. But, the details surrounding the new project are a mystery.

Reports point out that the show’s total budget is $42 million, of which $11.2 million will be spent in Louisiana over the course of 86 days of local production.

The show is currently in pre-production, with filming set to begin in mid-February.

Rumors on the internet suggest that it may have something to do with a Star Wars TV series called “Shadows of the Empire”. However, that is just a rumor at this point.

New Orleans’ film industry has been revitalized as of late. OWN’s hit TV series Queen Sugar is expected to start filming this March, Seth Rogen’s Preacher is now hiring crew in New Orleans, and SyFy is filming a TV pilot called ‘The Haunted‘ in early 2017.

According to Film Nola, William Eubank’s new feature film Underwater is now hiring crew members in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Tracking Board reports that the movie centers around a group of researchers who, after an earthquake devastates their underwater station, have to navigate through two miles in the dangerous depths of the ocean floor to make it to safety.

Underwater will be directed by William Eubank, who recently completed his sophomore hit movie The Signal starring Laurence Fishburne. Filming starts March 6th in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Preacher season 2 is now hiring crew in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Looking for a job in the film industry? If so, I have great news! Seth Rogen’s AMC TV series Preacher season 2 is now hiring crew in New Orleans, Louisiana.

According to Film Nola, Seth Rogen’s Preacher is now hiring crew members to work on the next season of the hit AMC series.

The series follows “a Texas preacher named Jesse Custer (Dominic Cooper) who is inhabited by a mysterious entity called Genesis that gives him the power to make people do whatever he commands. Once this power attracts the attention of two mysterious angels, Fiore (Tom Brooke) and DeBlanc (Anatol Yusef), Jesse, his badass ex-girlfriend Tulip (Ruth Negga), and an Irish vampire named Cassidy (Joseph Gilgun) are thrust into a crazy world populated by a cast of characters from Heaven, Hell and everywhere in between.”

Currently, Preacher is the second most watched new series on cable television among the key demographic and averaging 3.3 million viewers per episode. So when the news hit the Internet that AMC planned on expanding and renewing the series it wasn’t much of a surprise.

Filming starts January 30th in New Orleans, Louisiana.

According to the Georgia Help Wanted Hotline, SilverHook Studios is now hiring crew members to work on a short film project filming this January. Filming will take place between January 9th through January 20th in Georgia.

Now Hiring:

SilverHook Studios is putting together a crew for a short film project we are shooting in January. Please do NOT respond to this ad if you are not available either the 2nd week (1/9/17 – 1/13/17) or the 3rd week (1/16/17 – 1/20/17) in January. Production schedule to be finalized no later than December 30, 2016.

We are expecting a 5 day shoot. 4 days definite, 1 day for pickups if needed.

We are seeking CREW POSITIONS ONLY. Do not send any casting information. That is being handled by a different department.

Currently seeking the following positions. Day rate based on (8 – 10hrs)
• DIT – $50/day
• PA – $50/day
• 1st AD – $100/day
• Location Manager – $75/day
• Special Fx Makeup Artist (must be able to do blood for injuries) – $150/day
• Lighting Technician – $150/day
• Sound Recordist – $200/day (preferably one who can mix the sound after picture lock as well)
• Colorist – $750 flat (film is no longer than 15 minutes)

If the position isn’t listed, we already have it filled. Once we’ve gotten the crew we need, we will remove them from the list or remove this ad altogether. If you are reading this, we still need the positions listed above.

‘The Batman’ To Start Filming This April

Ben Affleck confirmed that The Batman will start filming in early 2017.

Affleck told Variety that filming will start this spring 2017. ““We’re on the right track with that and everything is coming together,” Affleck explained. “We’re still finishing up a script. I’m very excited.”

Affleck went on to praise all of the directors who came before him.

“I respect all of those movies. Christopher Nolan did an incredible job, Christian Bale did an incredible job, Tim Burton did an incredible job,” said Affleck. “At a certain point you have to look forward and try to believe in your own vision for it and not be looking over your shoulder the whole time. I go into that movie with a tremendous amount of respect for the people who came before me.”

Where is The Batman going to film? There are no details surrounding the location of the new Batman movie. It is rumored that the movie is going to film in Detroit. However, the state’s lack of a tax credit system may place the next Batman movie in Toronto, Canada, where Suicide Squad and Wonder Woman shot earlier this year.
