‘The Walking Dead’ Reduced the Violence After Season 7 Premiere Backlash

The Walking Dead producers revealed that they toned down the violence for the rest of season 7.

Following The Walking Dead’s season 7 premiere, many fans were shocked and disgusted after they saw their favorite characters tortured and bludgeoned to death. The scenes were so jaw-dropping that many fans promised to boycott the show for being too violent. Apparently, The Walking Dead producers were paying attention to their fans and have reportedly cut back the amount of violence on the show in the remaining episodes of the season. Variety reported that the show’s executive producer, Gale Ann Hurd broke the news during the NATPE conference. From Variety:

“We were able to look at the feedback on the level of violence,” Hurd said during a panel session at the NATPE conference. “We did tone it down for episodes we were still filming for later on in the season.”

Hurd also revealed that she never thought the show would become a hit nor would The Talking Dead be successful. With that being said, The Walking Dead has more problems than just violence on the show. The zombie drama has lost millions of viewers following the season 7 premiere. What do you think? American Animals is now casting college students to play frat boys and soccer jocks for a scene filming in Charlotte, North Carolina. Producers are looking for actors ages 18 to 20 years old to work on the scene. Filming will take place in Charlotte starting this February through March.

New: Another Major Movie Studio is Headed to Atlanta

Expect Georgia’s film industry to continue to grow as another major movie studio is headed to Atlanta, Georgia.

According to reports, Blackhall studios will open in a few weeks and the studio already has a major feature filmed lined up to start filming this March. The new studio costs $70 million to construction and is found on Constitution Road, only a few minutes away from the world-famous Starlight Drive-In theater. Blackhall Studios will feature nine sound stages, a 40,000 square foot stage, a 30,000 square foot stage, and seven 20,000 square foot stages. In total, Blackhall Studios sits on 80 acres of property. What’s interesting to point is that Blackhall Studios converted an old Metro State Prison, into a storage facility for lighting equipment. Blackhall studios boast that state’s film tax credit is the main reason for the construction of the facility. Blackhall Studios Chairman Ryan Millsap told WSBTV reporters, “In Hollywood, people are planning their schedules around when they can make a movie in Georgia because of the tax credit.” According to reports, Blackhall Studios has filed plans with the DeKalb County Department of Planning and Sustainability to rezone over 20 acres of land for movie productions. ‘White Men Can’t Jump’ Remake Coming Soon

If you’re a huge fan of the 1992 basketball movie White Men Can’t Jump, then I have great news for you. According to the Hollywood Reporter, Black-ish creator Kenya Barris is working on a reboot of the hit Wesley Snipes and Woody Harrelson movie.

Last year, Barris signed a film deal with Fox and this new feature film stems from that deal. Also attached to the project include Los Angeles Clippers star Blake Griffin and Carolina Panther Ryan Kalil, who have a production company known as Mortal Media along with Noah Weinstein.

There is no word on when this project would be hitting theaters, or who would be filling Wesley or Woody’s shoes, but with Barris attached to produce the production, it should be a hilarious comedy.

Kim Kardashian Lands Role in the ‘Ocean’s 11’ Spin-off

Despite getting robbed in Paris, it appears as though Kim Kardashian West is working hard on getting her life back to normal. So what does Kim Kardashian do after a rough year? Well, according to reports, she’s working on her acting chops.

Page Six reports that Kim Kardashian shot a cameo scene in Ocean’s 8, the upcoming Ocean’s 11 spin-off, this week. Kim Kardashian was not alone. Kim’s little sister Kendall had joined her on set to also film a small part. However, it is not yet known whether the siblings will be involved in the movie’s plot or if they were just background extras in a scene.

This news comes after the 36-year-old’s full police statement was published last week. In the statement, Kardashian revealed that she was robbed of millions of dollars worth of jewels last October in Paris, France.

A source tells the New York Post’s Page Six: ‘We were surprised Kim showed up for filming.

‘She had seemed totally traumatized by her Paris robbery. But then she’ll still appear in a movie that glamorizes a jewelry heist.’

Ocean’s Eight, which we’ve confirmed is filming under the working title Linus, will follow a team of female thieves working together to steal a necklace from the Met Ball and frame a crooked gallery owner for the crime.

The film, which is reportedly, “an extension and a continuation” of the Ocean’s trilogy, will have an all-star cast including Sandra Bullock, Sarah Paulson, Helena Bonham Carter, Anne Hathaway, Cate Blanchett, Mindy Kaling, Rihanna and Awkwafina.

Jigsaw Casting is now casting Canadian women to appear in a Dove hair commercial filming in Toronto, Canada. Casting directors are now casting five women, between the ages of 25 to 45 years old, who are confident in front of a camera and do damage to their hair from everyday heat styling to monthly salon visits for dye jobs. Talents will be compensated $1,000 to work on the commercial.

We are looking for a range of Canadian women who damage their hair to be part of a Dove hair campaign!

Who? Five women, ages 25-45, who are confident in front of a camera and do damage to their hair—from everyday heat styling to monthly salon visits for dye jobs. Most specifically (but not limited to) we are looking to hear from:

• Women with curly/wavy hair who straighten their hair
• Women with straight hair who curl it
• Women who dye their hair (from going to the salon to simply cover grays to a more extreme and noticeable dye job)

Please submit a write-up about yourself and how you damage your hair along with a picture or two of yourself. Please be clear on how often or frequent you challenge your hair? Please no hair extensions or visible tattoos.

PLEASE NOTE: Dove does not hire professional models or actors. Applicants must not have previously appeared in advertising (i.e. TV or Print), reality shows, etc.

*Pays approximately $1000 if selected

Tyler Perry is now casting twins in Atlanta, Georgia.

Tyler Perry is now casting African American twin babies ages 18 months and younger to work on a new TV pilot filming in Atlanta, Georgia. Filming will take place at the end of January.
