Before becoming one of the most popular kids in the film industry, Noah Schnapp was just a normal kid doing normal stuff like riding bikes and playing video games. In fact, it was while he was at camp that he got the phone call asking him to be on Stranger Things, effectively changing his life forever. In an interview with NKD magazine, Schnapp talked about his audition, the role he originally went out for, and the phone call that marked the beginning of his career.
“I go to camp every summer for seven weeks and it’s like sleepaway camp,” Schnapp tells NKD. “You have three phone calls every summer with your parents and I was on my last phone call. And this was some audition blurred with all the other auditions I did, so I didn’t remember what it was, but I remember them calling me.”
At the time, Schnapp originally auditioned for the role of Mike on the show. He had auditioned for many shows that he did not even remember what Stranger Things, then titled Montauk, was even about. He was, nevertheless, thrilled when he learned about the show and his character.
“They called me and they were like, ‘Hey, Noah!’ and I was like, ‘Who’s this?’ and they said, ‘Oh, you got the role of Will Byers on Montauk!’ and then they explained the whole thing and I was like, ‘Oh my God!’ he says. “I was so excited and things have just been going from there. It was just very different from things I’ve seen.”
If that’s not exciting enough or you, you might like to know that Noah was at the same camp the following year when Stranger Things first came out on Netflix, so he didn’t even know about the show’s success until he was back home. The actor spoke with Teen Vogue last year, telling them,
I went to camp and I came back, and I saw that people from across the world were watching the show, and everyone was interacting with us on social media. I was so happy and amazed by how far the show had gone.

Before landing the leading role in Wonder Woman and Justice League, Gal Gadot was not even aware of what she was auditioning for.
“Auditioning for ‘Wonder Woman’ must have been a lot, right?” asked Kumail Nanjianiduring his “Actors on Actors” interview with Gadot for the Variety series.
“It was weird because I didn’t know they were auditioning me for ‘Wonder Woman,’” Gadot explained. “I knew I was auditioning for this ‘secret project.’”
Gadot revealed she delivered lines from “Pulp Fiction” for the audition. “One week before I did the camera test with Ben [Affleck], I was like, ‘What’s going on?’” the star recalled. “They told me they wanted to fly me to L.A. I was like, ‘Great. But what is it?’”
Gadot said her agent was surprised she did not know yet. She remembered thinking, “Can someone just say something?!” Finally, “Justice League” director Zack Snyder called Gadot and told her that the audition had been for “Wonder Woman.” It was the call that changed everything for the superhero movie universe.

Jennifer Lawrence is not the nicest person around fans.
The Oscar winner admitted to Adam Sandler while talking during Variety Studio’s Actors on Actors series that she is mean to fans as a defense mechanism.
“Once I enter a public place I become incredibly rude, I turn into a huge a–,” she said when speaking of fan encounters with the legendary comedian. “That’s kind of like my only way of defending myself.”
Lawrence, 27, explains when she sees someone approach her table at a restaurant she is quick to shoot them down with a strong “No!”
“That’s like my only defense,” Lawrence said. “One of my best friends is Amy Schumer. I take my dog to the park all the time, Central Park. As soon as I meet her in the park, we’re f—–.”
Sandler conceded that fans usually “pull up a chair” when he’s at a restaurant and that they also usually ask for a photo.
“They go, ‘Hey Adam, could I get a picture?’ And I always say, ‘You don’t want that, man,’” he said.
“And they guy goes, ‘What?’ and I go, ‘You don’t want that. What are you going to do with it?’” Sandler continued. “And then he’s like, ‘Yeah, yeah. I don’t.’”
While being famous may not be easy for Lawrence, it seems to be particularly tough when it comes to facing reviews, especially when you’re dating someone in the industry. Lawrence revealed in the interview that reviews for her mother! had an impact in ending her relationship with the movie’s director Darren Aronofsky.
“Normally, I promote a movie, you put the work in to promoting it, ask people to go see it, and then it’s just kind of out of your hands. I normally just kind of let it go,” she told Sandler. “Dating the director is different.”
Lawrence recently broke up with her director boyfriend, Darren Aronofsky, who directed the Oscar winner in mother! But they were together throughout the press tour for the movie.
“We’d be on the tour together. I’d come back to the hotel, and the last thing I want to talk about or think about is a movie,” she said. “He comes back from the tour, and that’s all he wants to talk about and I get it. It’s his baby. He wrote it. He conceived it. He directed it. I was doing double duty trying to be a supportive partner while also being like, ‘Can I please, for the love of God, not think about mother! for one second?’”
When he started reading some of the reviews to her, she found it unhealthy. “I finally was just like, ‘It’s not healthy. Neither of us are doing it because if I read it, I start getting defensive.’ Especially because it’s my man,” she explains. “I don’t want to sound in an interview that I’m defending what we’re doing in any way. It’s awesome, what we did. Some people hate it and the people who hate it really hate it. But it’s nothing that needs to be defended and if I read a negative review, I just feel defensive.”

Details surrounding the new Avengers movie have not been released. However, the comic book character Thanos will serve as the main antagonist of the film, with the plot revolving around the Infinity Gauntlet and the six Infinity Stones.
