Maisie Williams is afraid of getting typecast because of her looks.
Maisie Williams has played Arya Stark on Game of Thronesfor almost half of her life. It was her first professional acting job, and it has earned her an abudance of fans and praise, including including five consecutive Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series nominations at the Screen Actors Guild Award. But soon, she will be looking for a new acting job as HBO’s mega-hit only has six episodes left.
In an interview with the Irish Times, Williams expressed concern about her post-Game of Thrones acting career. “It’s only now I’m starting to realize the characters that are available to me because of the way I look and the characters that aren’t available to me,” she said. “It’s a very shallow industry. And I don’t look like someone who is cast in roles that are, well, sexualized.” Williams added, “Don’t get me wrong, I’m completely in awe of Hollywood’s leading ladies. I love looking at those totally jaw-droppingly beautiful women. But I think it’s sad that you only get to see one type of beautiful on screen.”
Sometimes being beautiful or handsome is not enough.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the Mighty Ducks franchise may be headed to your television screens. The TV series is in early development for a series based on the 1990s dreamed about a youth hockey team. A network has not picked up the TV series yet.
The movie starred Emilio Estevez. However, the actor is not currently attached as a script has not been written yet. What remains unclear is if the Mighty Ducks TV series is a sequel or a reboot and if the show is 30 minutes or an hour long.
Sources tell The Hollywood Reporter that the Mighty Ducks TV show is in its early stages and will not be taken out anytime soon. As for a potential home, insiders note that ABC Signature could take the project out to other broadcast or cable networks in addition to shopping it to streaming platforms.
The Mighty Ducks was released 26 years ago by Walt Disney Pictures. The movie was produced on a$10 million budget and starred Estevez as Gordon Bombay, a Minneapolis attorney who winds up coaching a pee-wee hockey team as community service after a drunk-driving arrest. Despite negative reviews from critics, the film went on to become a box-office hit, grossing $50.7 million domestically. That led to two sequels — 1994’s D2: The Mighty Ducks (with Estevez) and 1996’s D3: The Mighty Ducks, which was built around original film star Josh Jackson’s Charlie Conway.

Sony is setting up a remake of the 1972 crime drama Super Fly, according to Variety. The studio has closed a development deal for the rights of the movie, with Watchmen writer Alex Tse writing the movie script. Super Fly was directed by Gordon Parks Jr. His father, Gordon Parks, directed the classic Shaft movie which is currently filming in Atlanta with amuel L. Jackson, Richard Roundtree, Alexandra Shipp and Jesse T. Usher.)
Super Fly starred Ron O’Neal as Priest Youngblood, a cocaine dealer who was trying to do one last deal before he left the drug business forever. The film also starred Sheila Frazier as Georgia, Julius Harris as Scatter and Charles McGregor as Fat Freddie. Curtis Mayfield and members of The Curtis Mayfield Experience appeared as themselves. Mayfield was responsible for the music in the film and the soundtrack outsold the box office take. Super Fly featured a customized 1971 Cadillac Eldorado and is credited with starting the car customization trend in the 1970s. There was a sequel called Super Fly T.N.T. in 1973 with O’Neal reprising his role. The original film’s producer Sig Shore directed a second sequel in 1990 called The Return of Superfly.
