About What Men Want:

What Men Want remake of 2000 Mel Gibson movie What Women Want is coming soon. The 2000 film, What Women Want, centered around Mel Gibson as an advertising executive who is suddenly granted the ability read women’s minds and then uses that to sell them things and seduce them. And then in the process, he finds out that women are people who should be respected!

Now a new movie inspired by the same premise is on the way to theaters with the genders flipped. According to Deadline, the forthcoming What Men Want will star Taraji P. Henson who plays “a female sports agent who has constantly been boxed out by her male colleagues.” She then uses her ability to hear men’s thoughts to her advantage at work.

Seeking Bay Area Non-Union Men and Women 25-45 to portray background Silicon valley young pro types attending a convention.You must be available for a full 10 hour shoot Wednesday 5/16. This could start as early as 6 AM although this time is not set in stone, we need to be sure that you are completely available early morning to late evening. This will be an outdoor shoot so you must be comfortable working a full day outside. This is shooting in San Jose so you must have reliable transportation to get to set. The rate for the shoot day is $150/10 hours. Must have valid ID for I-9. U.S. Citizens can use current U.S. Passport alone or both a valid Drivers License with Social Security Card or birth certificate. Non U.S. Citizens must have Green, Permanent Resident Card or Work Authorization from the Dept. of Homeland Security.

The film will be directed by Thor Freudenthal, who also helmed young-adult adaptations like “Diary of a Wimpy Kid” and “Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters.” 

The novel, which was released in July 2017, tells the story of Adam, who has just been diagnosed with schizophrenia and sees people who aren’t actually there, including a beautiful girl and a mob boss.

When Adam begins a drug trial to help ignore the visions, he meets a girl named Maya and begins to believe anything is possible — even love.

Now a new movie inspired by the same premise is on the way to theaters with the genders flipped. According to Deadline, the forthcoming What Men Want will star Taraji P. Henson who plays “a female sports agent who has constantly been boxed out by her male colleagues.” She then uses her ability to hear men’s thoughts to her advantage at work.
