‘Bill & Ted 3’ To Start Filming on January 10th

Get ready for another excellent adventure, because filming for the upcoming third movie in the Bill & Ted franchise is set to begin.

Filming on Bill & Ted Face the Music will start on January 10, 2019, according to a new report.

The production start date is the latest benchmark in the ongoing saga for the third movie in the series after stars Alex Winter and Keanu Reeves campaigned with screenwriters and creators Ed Solomon and Chris Matheson to kickstart progress on the new film. Dean Parisot has signed on to direct, having previously helmed the movies Galaxy Quest and Red 2. 

“We couldn’t be more excited to get the whole band back together again,” Reeves and Winter said in a statement. “Chris and Ed wrote an amazing script, and with Dean, at the helm, we’ve got a dream team!”

Reeves is currently filming John Wick: Chapter 3.

Co-writer Solomon previously spoke about how efforts to get the new film off the ground have mirrored the plans for Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure, the first movie in the franchise.

“The whole trajectory of getting the next one off the ground has been pretty much exactly like the experience of getting the original,” Winter told EW. “Going to every studio, and they’re like, ‘What the eff is this?’ It’s this kind of independent spirit, and the films have an anachronistic quality to them that’s a big part of what they are, fundamentally. I’m really happy that this one is the same. It doesn’t feel like some stale knockoff that a studio would have immediately gone, ‘Oh, this feels right. We have rebranded very successfully.'”

There’s no word yet on when the film will premiere in theaters.

Why Do Some Actors Struggle to Find Acting Jobs After Hit Shows?

Why do some actors struggle to find their next acting job after working on a major TV series?

With so many hit TV shows and leading actors, you would assume that if an actor starred in a popular series, then it would lead them to future acting jobs. However, it does not always happen. Which begs the question – is Hollywood that competitive? Are actors only as good as their last show? Or did they make enough money to turn their back on Hollywood forever?

Recently, on Reddit, one user brought up that most of the actors in Mad Men disappeared. Moreover, many of the actors from The Sopranos have not had the mainstream success they once did nearly a decade ago.

So why is it so hard for actors to find acting jobs in Hollywood?

Ultimately, Hollywood is competitive. So competitive, that there is an entire industry in Hollywood dedicated to helping people find work, i.e., talent agencies and managers. Even with a full support team, a lot of actors get stuck into that character, especially if it is their breakout role.

What about acting residuals?

Having a hit TV show and the residuals it brings also means a certain amount of security to pursue less financially lucrative but more personal or artistically fulfilling roles. The cast of Friends is probably the prime example, as none of them “need” to work anymore and can afford to pursue just the projects that interest them. Or how a lot of Star Trek actors post TOS return to theater after their series end, which naturally, doesn’t draw the same amount of press.

According to reports, Clint Eastwood’s next movie The Mule is  based on the life of 90-year old drug courier Leo Sharp. Sharp was an award-winning horticulturist and decorated WWII veteran known for his prized day lilies when he was busted for running drugs for Mexico’s Sinaloa Cartel, and sent to prison at the age of 90. He was transporting $3 million worth of cocaine through Michigan in his beat-up old pickup truck when he was arrested by the DEA. Sharp was sentenced to just three years after his lawyer argued that his client’s dementia sent him down the wrong path.

What Men Want remake of 2000 Mel Gibson movie What Women Want is coming soon. The 2000 film, What Women Want, centered around Mel Gibson as an advertising executive who is suddenly granted the ability read women’s minds and then uses that to sell them things and seduce them. And then in the process, he finds out that women are people who should be respected!

Now a new movie inspired by the same premise is on the way to theaters with the genders flipped. According to Deadline, the forthcoming What Men Want will star Taraji P. Henson who plays “a female sports agent who has constantly been boxed out by her male colleagues.” She then uses her ability to hear men’s thoughts to her advantage at work.
