Netflix ‘House of Cards’ Open Casting Call for Extras and Speaking Roles in Maryland

The Netflix Original Series ‘House of Cards’ posted a casting call for the third season.

The third season of ‘House of Cards‘ is already in development but shooting was delayed after a tax-credit back-and-forth with the Maryland state government.

According to WBAL, the critically acclaimed, Netflix series ‘House of Cards‘ has returned to Maryland to film their third season.

Now, casting directors are looking for people to appear in the television series. That means they are looking for people of all ages, types, sizes, and ethnicity’s for extra and day player roles in the Netflix series.

Several weeks ago there was an open casting call for several speaking roles including the role of the NSA director. Casting directors are seeking to cast other additional roles in the television series.

Kimberly Skyrme Casting will be holding and open casting call for Union and Non-Union extras and day players on Saturday, June 7th from 10AM – 2PM at: THE BEL AIR ARMORY 41 NORTH MAIN STREET BEL AIR, MARYLAND 21014

Bring a current headshot/resume. For those who don’t have a headshot/resume, a current photo is satisfactory.

According to the announcement, casting agents would also like to see a photograph of hopefuls in their D.C. black-tie attire.

Details surrounding the production and plot of ‘House of Cards‘ have not been released. But, the second season of House of Cards was a much darker version of the first.

Francis Underwood spends most of his time as the newly appointed VP of the United States. he faces the Chinese Government and Rayment Tusk starting a political war between Frank and Tusk. Frank’s wife Claire publicly reveals that she was raped in college by a prominent general and pursues anti-rape legislation. The most significant new character is Jackie Sharp, Frank’s successor as House Whip, who soon finds herself embroiled in Frank’s plans. As the war between Frank and Tusk consumes the Presidency, things fall apart in a scandal that sees Walker resign, Tusk arrested, and Frank ascend to the Oval Office.

It is reported that ‘House of Cards‘ Season 3 will be the final season for the Netflix Original series. If that is true, it will be hard for many people to let go of such a popular TV series.

BBC TWO’s ‘Wolf Hall’ Casting Call for extras in the UK.

Mad Dog Casting posted a casting call seeking extras for a scene filming in Yeovil in Somerset, England.

Casting directors are looking for male talents that are between 5’6 to 6’1.

Wolf Hall is a British television series that will first broadcast on BBC Two in 2015. It is a six-part adaptation of two of Hilary Mantel‘s novels, Wolf Hall and Bring Up the Bodies.

USA Network’s Graceland is currently seeking extras to play inmates in a scene filming in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.

Graceland is a television series that centers on a beachfront property in Southern California. All of the residents of this property are all top agents of the DEA, FBI, and Customs agencies. “Graceland” is full of secrets, good and bad. The Diamond Agency is currently looking for models to work on a makeup line production for the HSN (Home Shopping Network). Model must go to the casting call with no makeup on their faces. Don’t use any skincare products that day. They need very dry looking skin, in need of moisture. Products will be tested on models at the casting!

All models will be compensated $40 prior to the show and $90 per show. Filming is scheduled for July 1st and 2nd.

Nicholas Sparks’ “The Longest Ride” is holding a casting call for featured roles in the new book turned movie.

Nicholas Sparks, most known for writingThe Notebook is turning his latest book into a movie.

Based on the Nicholas Sparks novel, “The Longest Ride” centers on two sets of lovers in two intertwining stories. The first story is told through flashbacks of a 90-year-old veteran’s life and the love he has for his departed wife. The second story follows a student who falls in love with a similarly-wounded bull rider.

Producers have hired a NEW extras casting director for the production. If you have applied previously for ‘The Longest Ride‘ you will have to reapply for roles in the movie.

Netflix Unveils Animated Comedy ‘BoJack Horseman’ Featuring Will Arnett and Aaron Paul

Here’s the first trailer for Netflix new animated comedy ‘BoJack Horseman’.

The new Netflix series features the voices of Will Arnett as a horse and Aaron Paul as his human sidekick.

The new animated series centers on a horse that is a former sitcom star from the 90s who is washed-up and drinking his way thorugh HOllywood now.

Aaron Paul draws a close resemblance to Jessie Pinkman, including the stubble, beanie and zip-up hoodie.

The show also features the voices of Amy Sedaris, Paul F. Tompkins, and Alison Brie. Alison Brie’s character is a human that appears to be dating a giant dog. All 12 episodes of BoJack Horseman debut on August 22. Mark your calendars.

Dwayne Johnson stars as the Son of Zeus out for vengeance against men, beasts, and the descendants of Hades. Essentially, anything that cannot be killed by an ordinary moral.

Dwayne Johnson’s ‘Hercules’ is based on Radical Comics’ take on the mythical man. ‘Hercules‘ features Ian McShane, Rufus Swewell, Joseph Fiennes, Peter Mullan and John Hurt. Brett Ratner directed the feature film based on the script by Ryan Condal and Evan Spiliotopoulus.

Jonah Hill Apologizes After Saying Anti-Gay Slurs to Paparazzi

Jonah Hill was caught on camera saying anti-gay slurs at paparazzi in a new video released by TMZ.

TMZ obtained a video where Jonah Hill and two friends are being followed by several photographers. At one point, one of the photographers makes fun of Jonah Hill‘s board shorts saying, ” I like the shorts though, bro. Those are pretty sexy.” Jonah Hill continues walking in silence for a bout 40 seconds, then the paparazzi says, “Have a good day, enjoy.” Hill responds, “Suck my dick, you faggot.”

Hill has been a proponent of LGBTQ rights and marriage equality. Last year, he told E! that he supports gay rights because  “I have tons of gay friends, gay family members. It’s like saying, “why do you think people should breathe?”

Earlier today, he appeared on Howard Stern and apologized.

“Publicly, I’ve been a gay rights activist… Just to give it some context — not excusing what I said in any way— this person had been following me around all day and saying hurtful things about my family, really hurtful things about me personally, and I played into what he wanted and lost my cool. In that moment, I said a disgusting word that does not at all reflect how I feel about a group of people… I’m not at all defending my choice of words, but I am happy to be the poster boy for thinking about what you say… It would break my heart for anyone to think, especially with all the work that I’ve done and all the loved ones that I have, that I would be against anyone for their sexuality.”

Brad Pitt Breaks His Silence About Being Attacked

Brad Pitt broke his silence about the guy who put his face in Brad Pitt’s crotch

Last week when Brad Pitt was walking the red carpet with his wife, Angelina Jolie, and their children at the El Capitan Theatre in Hollywood for the world premiere of Maleficent, Brad Pitt was taking his time to sign autographs for his fans.

Brad Pit would later become the target of Vitalii Sediuk, a former Ukranian journalist who has chosen to become a red carpet disturbance instead. You may remeber him as the guy that Will Smith slapped when Vitalii Sediuk tried to kiss him.

Now, Vitalii is facing assault charges after he tried to bury his face in Pitt’s crotch and possibly hit the actor in the face. According to a recent interview, Brad Pitt told People that the whole situation was under control and Sediuk will regret the next time he tries to violate someone.

“I was at the end of the line signing autographs, when out the corner of my eye I saw someone stage-diving over the barrier at me. I took a step back; this guy had latched onto my lapels. I looked down and the nutter was trying to bury his face in my crotch, so I cracked him twice in the back of the head – not too hard – but enough to get his attention, because he did let go. I think he was then just grabbing for a hand hold because the guys were on him, and he reached up and caught my glasses.”

“I don’t mind an exhibitionist,” Pitt continues, “but if this guy keeps it up he’s going to spoil it for the fans who have waited up all night for an autograph or a selfie, because it will make people more wary to approach a crowd. And he should know, if he tries to look up a woman’s dress again, he’s going to get stomped.” (Via People)

UPDATE: Oprah Winfrey’s “Selma” Movie Open Casting Call in Montgomery, Alabama

Paramount Pictures and Selma Productions will be holding an open casting call for extras to appear in the upcoming movie “Selma”.

The upcoming feature film “Selma” centers on the three marches from Selma to Montgomery in 1965. The first which was known as “Bloody Sunday” because cops attacked marchers with clubs and gas. The protesters were seeking an equal voice in elections, which they later got with the passage of the Voting Rights Act later that year.

It was recently announced that Oprah Winfrey and Brad Pitt teamed up to produce the Martin Luther King Jr biopic.

According to AL.com, Paramount Pictures and Selma Productions Inc. will host an open casting call for extras in the upcoming filming of “Selma” from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m. on June 10 at the John Abernathy Auditorium.

Paramount Pictures and Selma Productions Inc. have rescheduled the open casting call for extras in the upcoming filming of “Selma” to June 9 at John Abernathy Auditorium.

The production company, which will film scenes in Selma on June 23 through June 26 as well as in Montgomery on June 27, is casting 500 extras for the movies. Candidates must: Be 17 to 70 years old, bring valid photo ID, a recent photo, able to work in the U.S., and attend a fitting in June.

‘Breaking Bad’ Creator, Vince Gilligan is  Having Second Thoughts about ‘Better Call Saul’

Filming for the Breaking Bad Spinoff, ‘Better Call Saul‘, has started filming this week. According to recent reports, Jonathan Banks will be a series regular, along with Michael McKean. Patrick Fabian from The Last Exorcism, and Rhea Seehorn from Franklin & Bash will play attorneys, and Michael Mando has also joined as a career criminal.

It was also reported that Aaron Paul has visited the writer’s room, and it is likely that Paul and Bryan Cranston will show up with background cameos at some point during the first season. However, Dean Norris will not. In an interview with the Associated Press Norris said he had no plans on revisiting the role.

“I don’t think they’ll let me do a little cable show,” he said in an interview this week while promoting the film “Small Time.”

“I think that experience was that experience. I’m not a big fan of kind of revisiting something that has already been done. But I think it’s going to be awesome. So I can’t wait to see it.”

Last week, Vince Gilligan spoke to The Hollywood Reporter about the show, and it looks like Vince Gilligan is having second thoughts about the show. He said that production is a week behind and that by the end of the week, it will most likely be two weeks behind. He also does not know if Better Call Saul would end up being a success like other TV show spinoffs, or if it will end up being a total failure.

It sounds like Vince Gilligan is actually human. Despite creating a cult classic like ‘Breaking Bad‘ he is afraid that the next show will not do as well. Something that anyone would feel if they are creating a new show.

What You Can Expect from ‘The Colbert Report’ Replacement, ‘Minority Report’

Here is what Larry Wilmore’s ‘Minority Report’ will look like

Reports have finally surfaced as to what we can expect in Comedy Central‘s highly anticipated Colbert Report replacement, Minority Report.

When comedian Larry Wilmore was picked to replace Stephen Colbert, one of the first things that fans questioned was how much the new show is going to be like the old one. But, thanks to a recent report from Fast Company, here is what we could probably expect.

We’ve got seven and a half months to really figure it out,” says Comedy Central president Michele Ganeless. But if everything goes according to plan, the show could be more than just a hilarious take on the day’s news. It could function as a key farm team for new Comedy Central talent.The Minority Report setup will be similar to The Daily Show and Colbert Report, but with a twist: For parts of the show Wilmore will be joined by a panel of co-hosts, presumably along the lines of The View or Real Time With Bill Maher.

“The general concept is Larry will be the anchor of the show and the first act will likely be Larry’s take on the news of the day or cultural hot topics of the moment,” says Ganeless. “Then [there will be] a panel. The panel will be the second act, we’ll likely have a guest interacting with the panel in the third act.”

In the interview, Comedy Central President Michele Ganeless said that that group discussions are not being used right now on late night television. “This is the African American point of view, the female point of view, the Latino point of view, on all issues of the day. It’s holistic—it’s not just about looking at a black point of view and black issues. It’s giving these underrepresented voices an opportunity to be heard on all issues.”

“…The Minority Report will be another place where we will have a stable of comic voices that we come to like, agree with, disagree with, (that) our audience hopefully can have a conversation with. People come to The Daily Show to hear Jon’s point of view. People come to The Colbert Report to hear Stephen’s point of view. Hopefully people will come to this show not only to hear Larry’s point of view but because they love panelist A or panelist B and they want to hear what they have to say every night.”

It is interesting to see how Comedy Central is changing their platform due to a new host. It maybe a concern that viewers will not watch a black host as much as they did for Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert. But, at the same token it allows them a chance to provide a diversity on a nightly basis.

Either way, expect Larry Wilmore to be hilarious.

‘Star Wars: Episode 7’ Millennium Falcon Photos Leaked [PHOTOS]

Photos for The Millennium Falcon for Star Wars Episode VII being built has leaked onto the Internet.

Last year it was rumored that a full-scale Millennium Falcon was built for ‘Star Wars: Episode 7‘ in London, but nothing has been said since then, until now.

It is one thing to hear about a Millenium Falcon, but it is another thing to see a full scale version of it. Hours after the release of yesterday’s set photo leak from Tatooine, today photos of Millennium Falcon throughout its construction, as well what it looks like next a new X-wing have been released.

The photos come from TMZ and while these photos have just been released, they were actually taken in the fall 2013 and due to the demand for these photos, I bet TMZ paid a lot of money for the photos.

It is no surprise that the Millennium Falcon is returning. According to reports, Han Solo is a big part of ‘Star Wars: Episode 7‘ and will slowly introduce the new group of stars, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac and Daisy Ridley.

Hollywood Wants Use Drones to Film Movies

Hollywood is trying to start using drones to film movies.

During the filming of ‘The Twilight Zone‘, produced by Steven Spielberg, actor Vic Morrow and child actors Myca Dinh Le (age 7) and Renee Shin-Yi Chen died in an accident involving a helicopter being used on the set. The helicopter was flying at an altitude of only 25 feet, too low to avoid the explosions of the pyrotechnics used on set. When the blasts severed the tail rotor, and spun out of control, crashing and decapitating Morrow and the Le. Chen was crushed to death as the helicopter crashed. Everyone inside the helicopter survived sustaining only minor injuries.

The Twilight Zone

Now, producers are seeking the use of drones to film movies. According to Deadline, Federal law currently does not allow the use of unmanned camera airplanes, but the MPAA wants to change that. The MPAA recently joined several aerial photo and video production companies that are asking the FAA to allow the use of drones in the production of films and TV shows.

“Unmanned aircraft systems offer the motion picture and television industry an innovative and safer option for filming,” said Neil Fried, the MPAA’s SVP Government and Regulatory Affairs. “This new tool for storytellers will allow for creative and exciting aerial shots and is the latest in a myriad of new technologies being used by our industry to further enhance the viewer experience.”

Unmanned aerial cameras are legal everywhere else in the world. In New Zealand, during the production of Lord of the Rings Trilogy, unmanned aerial cameras were used extensively.

But, with this advancement in technology, it will cause job losses for helicopter and airplane pilots and production crews. However, it could mean an overall increase in jobs since production companies will no longer need to leave the country for drone camerawork.

Commercial acting auditions casting call for extras in Hartford, Connecticut.

Boston Casting is currently seeking men in their twenties to mid 30’s in an upcoming commercial shoot.

Producers are looking for guys to play baseball players warming up on a baseball field. All actors must be decent baseball players in order to be considered.

Filming will take place in Central Connecticut, 30 minutes outside of Hartford, CT. All actors that are selected will be compensated $150.
