‘The Sunday Horse’ Movie Casting Call for Horseback Riders, Extras in Atlanta

‘The Sunday Horse‘ movie posted a casting call for horseback riders and extras to appear in the movie currently filming in Atlanta, Georgia.

The Sunday Horse’ is a feature film that is inspired by the story of Debi Connor, a rider from the wrong side of the tracks who overcomes prejudice and a near-fatal accident to become the United States champion jumper on a horse that everyone dismissed as untalented.

The movie will be directed by Academy Award winner, Vic Armstrong who is just coming off working with Nicholas Cage in ‘Left Behind’. The story is written by Fred T. Kuehnert, and will be produced by Ronnie Clemmer and co-produced by John Duffy.

Casting directors are looking for people to work on several scenes filming this week in Atlanta, Georgia. New Life Casting is especially looking for Caucasian girls with their own English Horseback Riding gear but, they are also looking for men and women of all ages and ethnicities.

MTV is now casting male models to work on the new TV series, ‘Finding Carter’ filming in Atlanta, Georgia.

“Finding Carter” centers on a teenage girl who was abducted at age three and finds herself reunited with her long-lost blood relatives.
‘Skins’ actor Kathryn Prescott stars as Carter. Alexis Denisof, Milena Govich, Cynthia Watros, Anna Jacoby-Heron and Zac Pullam co-star in the new MTV series “Finding Carter”.
CL Casting is looking for male models that resemble Brazilian super-model Marlon Teixeira. According to the casting notice, producers are looking for models to “flaunt it on camera as a featured extra in the hit TV show Finding Carter.

Mickey Rourke’s ‘Ashby’ Movie Casting Call for a Photo Double in North Carolina

Ashby starring Mickey Rourke posted a casting call seeking a photo double for one of the actors in the upcoming feature film.

Tona B. Dahlquist is currently casting extras those interested in working as extras in Tony McNamara’s upcoming comedy-drama ASHBY, set to star Mickey Rourke (The Wrestler, Iron Man 2), Nat Wolff (The Fault in our Stars, The Naked Brothers Band), Emma Roberts (We’re The Millers, Palo Alto) and Sarah Silverman (A Million Ways To Die In The West). 

The comedy-drama Ashby follows the relationship between a high school student, to be played by Nat Wolff, and a retired CIA assassin who only has months to live.

‘The Longest Ride’ is casting extras for a scene in the movie from the author of “The Notebook”.

Marty Siu Casting is currently seeking extras for a scene filming on Thursday.

Based on the Nicholas Sparks novel, “The Longest Ride” centers on two sets of lovers in two intertwining stories. The first story is told through flashbacks of a 90-year-old veteran’s life and the love he has for his departed wife. The second story follows a student who falls in love with a similarly-wounded bull rider.

Casting directors are looking for Caucasian actors to play waiters in an upcoming 1940’s flashback scene. Actors must attend a fitting on Monday, June 23rd.

12 Tips You Should Be Using for Your Headshots

As an actor you need to have two things in order to make it into the entertainment industry, a headshot, and a resume.

We previously discussed what your resume should look like but, what should your headshot look like?

A headshot is a photo that realistically demonstrates a person’s appearance for casting. Many headshots are used for actors, models, and even authors.

It is the first step to getting an audition. Casting directors immediately determine whether or not you are able to fill audition a role based upon your headshot.

To help you figure out if you are on the right track  here are 12 things that make a good headshot.

12 Tips to a Great Headshot!

  1. Your headshot should look like you, don’t try to hide things that you find undesirable, you may have something that people want.
  2. Headshots should be updated every 5 years minimum or after a major physical change (weight loss/ gain, hair changes, etc)
  3. Your headshot needs to capture attention and tell us something about you. Make sure you consider what qualities you are looking to show off.
  4. Look natural, these are not a fashion shoot.
  5. Keep it simple.
  6. Your headshot should be geared towards the kind of work you want to get Film/ theatre/ commercial/ industrial.
  7. No logos or slogans
  8. Nothing garish
  9. No black, white, or noisy patterns
  10. Relax
  11. Always 8X10 prints
  12. Color is the current acceptable, professional standard

While it is true that some smaller budget movies do make a lot of money, often times the most successful movies are the costliest. It is interesting to note that many of the most successful movies ever made cost over $200 million dollars to make.

But, not all expensive movies are major hits. One of the most expensive movies ever made was ‘Water World‘ starring Kevin Costner. The movie did horribly in the box office.

North Korea Hates Seth Rogen’s New Movie ‘The Interview’

James Franco and Seth Rogen’s new movie ‘The Interview’ is hated by North Korea.

Kim Jong-Un the current leader in North Korea, is not amused by Seth Rogen and James Franco in their new movie, “The Interview.” However, the North Korean dictator said that he will still probably watch the movie.

The Columbia Pictures feature film centers on James Franco as a late-night talk show host who scores an interview of a lifetime with Kim Jong-Un (Randall Park). But, the CIA decides to turn the host and his producer, Seth Rogen, into assassins.

“A film about the assassination of a foreign leader mirrors what the U.S. has done in Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria and Ukraine,” said Kim Myong-chol, the executive director of The Centre for North Korea-U.S. Peace, in an interview with The London Telegraph.

Kim Myong-chol is an unoffical spokesperson for North Korea, despite living in Japan added words of caution for current U.S. leadership.  “Let us not forget who killed [President John F.] Kennedy – Americans,” he said. “In fact, President Obama should be careful in case the U.S. military wants to kill him as well.” He continued, “it shows the desperation of the U.S. government and American society.”

North Korean state media has described “The Interview” as “dirty and cursed,” according to the Telegraph.

Seth Rogen, co-wrote, co-directed, and co-produced the comedy. He later tweeted about the interview, saying:

“The Interview” hits theater on October 2nd.

Drumline sequel, Drumline 2 (Drumline: A New Beat) is seeking extras for a scene filming in Atlanta.

VH1 has given a green light to Drumline: A New Beat. It will be the next original movie to follow the widely popular TLC Biopic that was filmed in Atlanta, Georgia.

Nick Cannon is expected to make a return, reprising his role as well as executive producing.

Drumline 2, will focus on a female lead — Dani Bolton from Brooklyn — and her decision to defy her parents, go to school in New Orleans and bring a once-prominent drumline back to life.

Kevin Bacon is working alongside Ashton Kutcher in Cop Car. The movie centers on a pair of ten year olds who go for a joyride in an abandoned car only to find the owner has left behind something of great value behind. The owner of the car is actually a small-time cop, played by Kevin Bacon, who is desperate to get it back.

Memento Film International (Mfi) has acquired international rights to Jon Watt’s thriller Cop Car, starring Kevin Bacon as a police officer.

“We fell in love with Cop Car as quickly as our two rabble rousing young heroes try to get the hell away from Kevin Bacon’s character,” said MFI managing director Emilie Georges.

The movie will be directed by Jon Watts who co-wrote the script alongside Christopher Ford.

Filming has already started and will continue until the end of June. According to the Colorado Springs Film Commission, producers are seeking to hire Production Assistants and drivers to work on the upcoming feature film. To apply, send an e-mail to [email protected].

Kevin Bacon is known for his work on  National Lampoon’s Animal House (1978), Friday the 13th (1980), Footloose (1984) , Tremors (1990), JFK (1991),  and A Few Good Men (1992). He currently stars on the Fox television series The Following.

Martin Scorsese’s ‘Untitled Rock N’ Roll’ Casting Call for in New York City

The untitled drama explores the drugs and sex of the 1970′s New York music business as disco and punk music were on the rise.

According to Variety, the show will be depicted through the eyes of Cannavale’s Richie Finestra, a record exec trying to build a record label and find the next new sound.

Olivia Wilde is set to play Devon Finestra, Richie’s wife and former actress/model who attempts to deal with the Richie’s crisis as it causes strain on their family and relationship.
