To celebrate “Game of Throne”’s eighth and final season, cookie maker Oreo is releasing a new line of “chocolate sandwich cookies” inspired by HBO’s hit series.
Officially announced via Oreo’s Instagram page, the upcoming cookie was teased with a short video and the caption, “Cookies are coming,” a play on the show’s “Winter is Coming” meme.
The limited edition cookies will include the sigils of House Lannister, House Targaryen and House Stark along with The Night King. Fans will be able to buy the limited edition Oreos starting Monday, April 8 at all Oreo stores while supplies last. The announcement is a 50-second clip done alongside Elastic, the creatives behind “Game of Throne”’s epic opening sequence, which sees the castles being built with over 2,000 Oreo cookies.
Fans can visit either Oreo.com, Oreo’s Facebook or Twitter page to pledge their allegiance to one of the previously mentioned houses with the hashtags #GameofCookies and #ForTheThrone. Oreo will then select the winners and mail them a special prize.
Update: A listing on eBay for two tickets to “Avengers: Endgame” for April 28 has reached $9,199. The nearly 10-grand auction is for a showing on April 28th at AMC’s 84th Street 6 Theater in New York City, but the crazy thing is that the blockbuster opens on April 26th, the expensive tickets are not even for the opening night. These tickets are so far the most expensive yet, another pair of tickets are now priced at $4,000 for an April 25th AMC 84th St. 6 Theater NYC Opening Night.
There are several other listings going for cheaper, ranging around $200 per ticket, so if you’re planning on watching “Avengers: Endgame” on opening day, you still have a chance.
Original Story: Georgia-filmed “Avengers: Endgame” tickets are now for sale, but they are already breaking records. Deadline reported that the pre-sales for the epic Marvel blockbuster on Atom tickets have already tripled the first-hour ticket sales of “Infinity War.” The movie also beat out the first-hour pre-sales for “Star Wars: The Last Jedi”, one of 2017’s biggest films. Meanwhile, over at Fandango, the company has also reported similar ticket sale numbers.
It comes to no surprise ticket selling websites were overloaded. AMC’s browser and mobile sites both crashed after the tickets went on sale, and it took several hours to get them up and running again. Users who used Fandango also had trouble getting tickets facing long wait times and sometimes getting kicked out of the website when they attempted to choose their seats.
People have found ways to profit off of the March Avengers Madness. Opening night tickets are now on sale on eBay for $500 with an opening bid at $50.

The Many Saints of Newark is set amid the 1967 Newark riots, which Livia was seen watching live on television during a flashback in the episode “Down Neck”.
There were over a hundred race riots across America in what was dubbed “The Long Hot Summer of 1967”, as tensions boiled over as African Americans continued to face discrimination. In Newark, the start for the riot was one that still shocks the city today is the beating of a black man by police.
“That was a time when the African-Americans and the Italians of Newark were at each other’s throats,” Deadline notes, “and among the gangsters of each group, those conflicts became especially lethal.”

AT&T Film Awards 2019 is now accepting submissions for their short film contest.
As AT&T describes, “The AT&T Film Awards recognizes aspiring creators who are shaping the future of entertainment through innovative and immersive filmmaking while sharing their unique stories. We are supporting and rewarding excellence in filmmaking with $60,000 in cash prizes, including a trip to the AT&T Film Awards finale session at Warner Bros. Studios in June for each of the category winners, mentoring, and a chance to take home the coveted AT&T Film Awards trophy.”
Now in their 6th year, the competition will give a platform for emerging creators from around the United States. Awards will be given for short films shot on mobile devices, new forms of storytelling including virtual reality, 360 Cinemativ Videos and other creative content, futuristic-themed films, social good-themed films, and a special category for underrepresented voices.
Submissions will be due on May 5, 2019 and there is no cost to enter.
