How To Prepare For Your American Idol Audition
Before you do anything, make sure you meet American Idol’s eligibility requirements. You must be at least 15 years old. You must also be a legal U.S. resident. You can find more detailed eligibility requirements here. Due to the pandemic, auditions have gone virtual with aspiring singers having the ability to start the audition process online.
What to do on the day of your American Idol audition
According to reports, you can pick up a wristband and seat ticket at the Check-In when you reach the audition location. The show also suggests signing the Personal Release form ahead of time. Before COVID, you were allowed to bring one person with you at the audition. If you’re under 18, your parent or guardian must sign a Personal Release and accompany you at all times. Audition times range from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
What to sing in your American Idol audition?
Once you get started, you can either sing a cappella or accompanied by an instrument. You may be asked to sing two to three songs, so make sure you have multiple options. If you receive a callback, you may be asked to sing a song off a producer’s list of options, and another song of your choice. It is important to note, you will have to go through multiple rounds of auditions before you get a chance to meet the judges and make the cut. Advice The show advises American Idol contestants not to wear clothing that features designer names, logos, or celebrity/cartoon images. If you have a tattoo, you may be asked to cover it. The above is only the most basic information you need to know to audition. You can find further guidelines on the American Idol website, and by signing up to Project Casting to receive updates. According to reports, quickly after filming the pilot Amazon called for a series order for its reboot of A League of Their Own.
Broad City’s Abbi Jacobson and Will Graham created the hourlong series, which is described as a reboot of the original feature film about the All-American Girls Professional Baseball League. The series will star Abbi Jacobson and will expand the plot to explore race and sexuality with a new ensemble of women carving their own paths in the baseball league.
“Twenty-eight years ago, Penny Marshall told us a story about women playing professional baseball that up until then had been largely overlooked. We grew up obsessed with the film, like everyone else. Three years ago, we approached Sony with the idea of telling a new, still overlooked set of those stories. With the help of an enormously talented team of collaborators, an amazing cast, and the devoted support of Amazon to this project, we feel beyond lucky and excited to get to bring these characters to life,” Graham and Jacobson said in a joint statement Thursday. “It took grit, fire, authenticity, wild imagination and a crackling sense of humor for these players to achieve their dreams. We’re hoping to bring audiences a story with all of those qualities.”
“There’s no crying in baseball, or at Prime Video,” said Vernon Sanders, co-head of television at Amazon. “Will and Abbi have taken a classic movie, reimagining it for a new generation with new characters and their own fresh, modern vision on a timeless story of big dreams, friendship, love, and, of course, baseball. We’re so excited to partner with Sony to bring this emotional, exciting new series to our Prime Video customers around the world.”
The series was first put into development in March 2018 and is produced by Sony Pictures Television, whose Columbia Pictures produced the movie and the real-wold AAGPBL was formed when World War II threatened to shut down the Major League Baseball organization. The movie centered around two sisters Dottie (Geena Davis) and Kit (Lori Petty), as they were recruited to join the AAGPBL and wound up playing for the Rockford Peaches (before a trade that would see them face off in the World Series). Tom Hanks played the team manager Jimmy Dugan. The cast also included Madonna, Rosie O’Donnell, Megan Cavanagh and David Strathairn, who played Ira Lowenstein.

What is the plot of the Sex and the City series?
According to reports, Sex and the City is officially coming soon to HBO Max. Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon, and Kristin Davis posted on social media breaking the news. HBO Max confirmed the 10-episode limited series will be titled And Just Like That… with Michael Patrick King executive produce the series with the show’s cast. King directed several episodes, wrote and directed both movies.
Sarah Jessica Parker will reprise her role as Carrie Bradshaw, Cynthia Nixon, who plays Miranda Hobbes, and Kristin Davis, who stars as Charlotte York. Kim Cattrall will not return to play Samantha Jones.
The series is being brought back as a limited series for HBO Max instead of the HBO network.
The series was created by Darren Star and is based on Candace Bushnell’s book. The revival will center around Carrie, Miranda, and Charlotte as they navigate the journey from life in their 30s to life in their 50s. It will start production this July 2021. The half-hour show ran for six seasons and 94 episodes on HBO between 1998 – 2004. It was followed by two feature films in 2008 and 2010. A third movie was supposed to hit theaters but never made it out of production.
“I grew up with these characters, and I can’t wait to see how their story has evolved in this new chapter, with the honesty, poignancy, humor, and the beloved city that has always defined them,” said Sarah Aubrey, Head of Original Content, HBO Max.

Casting directors are now casting actors, models, and talent to work on scenes filming in Atlanta, Georgia starting this June 2021. Details for the production have not been released. However, according to reports, Tyler Perry announced he is bringing his Madea character out of retirement.
Tyler Perry will direct and write with Will Areu and Mark Swinton producing the Netflix movie. Executive Producers are Tyler Perry and Michelle Sneed.
No plot details yet. Perry previously said that Madea would be making her final appearance in the 2019 Lionsgate feature A Madea Family Funeral, which made $75M at the global box office.
