Disney’s Mulan and Netflix’s Black Mirror casting directors are now casting the lead principal speaking role for an upcoming TV series.

Casting directors are looking for “dynamic East Asian or South East Asian girl aged 18 years” to play a lead role in the TV series. Jina Jay, casting director behind Black Mirror and Star Wars: Rogue One, is now casting lead speaking roles for a “confidential” tv series PoPing AuYeung’s recent casting credits include Disney’s Live Action Mulan, Crazy Rich Asians, and MEG.

About the Show:

Details for the new TV series have not been released. However, according to Indiewire, Director Rupert Wyatt is now directing the new Showtime series HALO. Kyle Killen will work as the writer and showrunner, whose previous credits include The Beaver and Mind Games. The Rise of the Planet of the Apes director Rupert Wyatt will direct multiple episodes.

Said David Nevins, Showtime President and CEO, in a statement: “Kyle Killen’s scripts are thrilling, expansive and provocative, Rupert Wyatt is a wonderful, world-building director, and their vision of HALO will enthrall fans of the game while also drawing the uninitiated into a world of complex characters that populate this unique universe.”

Netflix Cancels ‘Luke Cage’ After Two Seasons

Netflix announced Friday that Luke Cage would not be getting a third season, just one week after the cancellation of Iron Fist.

The news came the same day Daredevil Season 3 premiered on the streaming platform.

“Unfortunately, Marvel’s Luke Cage will not return for a third season. Everyone at Marvel Television and Netflix is grateful to the dedicated showrunner, writers, cast and crew who brought Harlem’s Hero to life for the past two seasons, and to all the fans who have supported the series,” Netflix said in a statement provided to TheWrap.

According to The Wrap, the decision to cancel the show came down to “creative differences, and an inability to reach terms on a deal for a third season.”

At this time, Netflix has not said whether or not the characters from Luke Cage or Iron Fist will continue to appear on other Marvel Shows. That said, The Punisher and Jessica Jones have been renewed for a second and third season respectively.

Luke Cage hit Netflix in 2015 during the first season of Jessica Jones. The show would have its series, which premiered a year later.

Chicago Med Casting Call

Casting Alert! We are casting for a large awesome party scene on “Chicago Med”!!! We are searching for men and women, 18 to 70, (mostly ages 30’s/40’s), all ethnicities, especially IRISH MEN AND WOMEN, to work a one-day shoot on Monday, Oct. 22nd.

There might be a wardrobe fitting that you need to attend. This will happen some time next week. We will let you know when we book you if you need a fitting.

Include your height, weight, age, phone number, and clothing sizes:

Men: suit jacket size, neck, sleeve, waist, inseam, T-shirt size and shoe size.

Women: dress size, pant size, T-shirt size, shoe size.

You will have fun!

You will need nice dress suits, and women in nice dresses and skirts, looking super nice.

The rate of pay is $96/8 hour day and time and a half after 8 hours. We normally shoot a 12 hour day and can go a couple hours longer. Sometimes we start as early as 5AM. A nice lunch is served. You will receive a check about two weeks later if you are cast and you work the shoot. EVERYONE we book NEEDS CURRENT, VALID ID, AND a SOCIAL SECURITY CARD in order to be paid.
