Industrial Shoot Casting Call in Washington DC Area

We are looking for the following NON-UNION talent for an industrial shoot. Audition will be held on August 2 in Falls Church, VA. Shoot date is August 13 in Washington, DC.

For consideration, please email jen@carlyndaviscasting.com with your headshot/resume. Please put “Industrial Casting – (Role name)” in the subject of the email (Example: “Industrial Casting – Woman 2” or “Industrial Casting – Doctor” etc.). Prior acting experience not necessary.

Roles:

Woman 2: “Mom living in poverty/Third world Mom”
This should be a woman who looks like she is from a poor African nation. She is wearing clothes that indicate this. Her face should be full of character and reflect the hard conditions under which she lives every day. Her children don’t have enough food, she has to walk five miles to get clean water. She cooks on an outdoor fire. Her children are malnourished and sick. She is worried about surviving every day. Should have African dialect/accent. Ethiopia, Eritrea.

Man 1: “Affluent Western Dad”
This is a 45-50 year old man. He has salt and pepper hair, he is tall and fit. He’s wearing athletic clothing. He’s wearing expensive tennis shoes. He looks ex-military and could be a coach. Could be German or British.

Man 2: “Man living in poverty” 
This man is tall and lanky, he’s extremely thin/malnourished looking. He is dressed in clothes that are old and missed matched, his eyes are rheumy. He looks like he could from South America (could be an Indian tribe) or Central America (Ecuador, Honduras). Should have accent.

Girl: 
A young African girl, dressed in an African school uniform. She is about 12 years old. She is holding a few books. Should have strong accent. Not South African.

Man:
55-year-old-man, undetermined race. Poverty stricken. Could look Asian, as if from Myanmar or could be Pakistani.

Doctor:
This could be a man or a woman. Should be on the younger side, should be wearing a doctor’s coat, with nametag, credentials. This should look like a “doctors-without borders” person, and does not have to look like a doctor from any certain country we are trying to represent. It would be great if they had a British accent. This could be a 30-year-old Indian man or woman with a British or Indian accent.

Small child:
This is a little Caucasian girl from Australia, four or five years old. She is holding a beat-up stuffed animal and wearing a little dress. She has dirty blonde to light brown hair.

Young Adult Male:
This is a young, “hip” Kazakh or Russian male. Not affluent, but not poor, just driven to succeed. He is about 24 years old.

Middle class, middle-aged couple:
This couple look Palestinian, Syrian, Afghan or Iraqi. They stand with their arms around each other or holding hands. They might be holding a photo of their two teenage sons and their daughter.

They are currently looking for a Willow Smith Look A Like that is able to dance.

Willow Camille Reign Smith is an American child actress and pop singer. She is the daughter of Will Smithand Jada Pinkett Smith, and the younger sister of Willard “Trey” Christopher Smith III and Jaden Smith. Smith made her acting debut in 2007 in the film I Am Legend and later appeared in Kit Kittredge: An American Girl alongside Abigail Breslin. She received a Young Artist Award for her performance.

Apart from her acting she launched a music career in the fall of 2010 with the release of her singles “Whip My Hair”, “21st Century Girl”, and signing to her current mentor Jay-Z’s record label Roc Nation, becoming the youngest artist signed to the label. “Whip My Hair” has peaked at #11 on the Billboard Hot 100. The video was nominated for Video of the Year at the BET Awards of 2011.
