If you don’t know NBC’s “Revolution” is an american post-apolcaplyse sci-fi drama that takes place 15 years after all electricity ceased to exist. The series was originally created by Eric Kripke and is currently produced by J.J. Abrams, Bad Robot Productions.

4 Star Casting posted a casting call seeking extras to work this Friday, December 6, 2013 for two separate scenes.

PROJECT: Crisis
DATE: Friday, 12/6/13
TIME: We believe it will be a mid-morning to early afternoon call, and you will shoot into evening hours.
LOCATION: Downtown Chicago – Exterior Shoot
RATE: $75/8

We have two sets of scenes shooting on this date – a portion may be interior, but the majority of scenes will shoot outside. The season is Fall on the show, so wardrobe will not allow winter outerwear. You would have to dress warmly underneath, thermal, etc to keep warm. It could also be (subject to change, of course) a longer day because the “vigil” scene is exterior and evening. We want you to be prepared for all of these elements before submitting your availability to work.

We are looking for both genders, all ethnicity, 18 to 70. You must be at least 18 years old, and have graduated from high school.

Please do not submit if you have already been established on the show as FBI, CIA, SWAT, etc.

The movie version of Fifty Shades of Grey is officially underway as they started filming in Vancouver, Canada on Sunday.

The Hollywood Reporter, pointed out that the producers and cast excitement for filming in what will be a romantic thriller.

The movie adaptation of Fifty Shades of Grey is officially underway. The highly anticipated film began shooting in Vancouver on Sunday, with author El James posting an Instagram photo of the slate during the first take of the 25th scene. Producer Dana Brunetti retweeted the photo, adding, “And we’re off.”   And we’re off “@E_L_James: Action! https://t.co/KY7By61Osp” — Dana Brunetti (@DanaBrunetti) December 1, 2013 Screenwriter Kelly Marcel also tweeted her well wishes to the Fifty Shades team.

From Dusk Till Dawn director Robert Rodriguez unveiled plans for the show a couple of months ago, while also unveiling plans for an entire new cable network aimed at young-adult audiences called El Rey, which he has co-created, partnering with Univision Communications Inc.

The English-language El Rey – which is set to premiere this December nation-wide with initial carriage via Comcast – would air From Dusk Till Dawn as its first scripted series. Robert Rodriguez, is heavily involved in getting the network off the ground, will be writing, producing and directing the From Dusk Till Dawn series himself. The series will expand on the story and characters from his original film and providing more Aztec mythology. There has not been a report if the two sequels will be included in the television series since, Robert Rodriguez only worked as a producer on those projects.

Should You Follow Up with a Casting Director After an Audition? What to do After an Audition

Every actor wants to land the role after the first audition. But, often times you may not hear a call back for weeks to months at a time.

Here is a common question we receive:

After 20+ unsuccessful auditions, I’m trying to re-evaluate how I do auditions and to find places I can improve. I’ve never followed up on an audition (i.e. sending a thank-you email a few days after the audition), and I’m not sure if this is something I can improve.

Does following up ever really help your chances at being cast/ called back? Where is the line between being friendly and unprofessional?

It never hurts to send a quick, polite thank-you, but based on our experience NEVER directly ask for feedback. If you have an agent, or manager than you may be able to get more information, but in the long run it is considered a big no-no and it is seen as disrepectful to the casting director.

As far as the thank-yous, of course it is not like that will change their mind about not picking you for that specific part, but it may help enforce who you are in the casting director’s mind for future projects. Also it demonstrates professionalism.

Overall, Breaking Bad’s Bryan Cranston provides some of the best acting tips for any audition, perform your heart out and just let it go because at the end of the day there are so many other factors and reasons as to why you did not get the job.

According to the Starz Network, “Power” tells the story of James “Ghost” St. Patrick, a wealthy New York City nightclub owner who caters to the city’s elite.  He wants to build an empire, turn the club into a Fortune 500 business, but there’s just one problem: Ghost is living a double life.  When he is not in the club, he is the kingpin of the most lucrative drug network in New York for a very high-level clientele. His marriage, family and business all become unknowingly threatened as he is tempted to leave his criminal life behind and become the rags-to-riches businessman he wants to be most of all.

The series was created by Courtney Kemp Agboh, who is also the executive producer and showrunner on the series. “Power” represents another collaboration between executive producers Mark Canton (300, Immortals) and Randall Emmett (End Of Watch, 2 Guns, Lone Survivor), who are producing in association with CBS Television Studios. Canton and Emmett most recently were producers on Escape Plan starring Sylvester Stalloneand Arnold Schwarzenegger, which will be released in theaters in October.

The series was announced by the STARZ Network CEO and the series will be produced by Curtis ’50 Cent’ Jackson and Courtney Kemp Agboh (“The Good Wife”).
