Matthew McConaughey Won’t Be in ‘Magic Mike XXL’

0

Matthew McConaughey isn’t returning for ‘Magic Mike’ sequel, ‘Magic Mike XXL’.

Millions of men and women were ready to see Matthew McConaughey return and reprise his role as the owner of Tampa’s finest male strip club. But, the Academy Award winning actor may be moving on to bigger and better roles.

Director Greg Jacobs recently revealed in an interview with Indiewire’s The Playlist, that the McConaughey will not be returning to the Magic Mike sequel.

Aside from that, Magic Mike XXL recently posted a casting call seeking male strippers to work in the upcoming feature film. To apply for a role in the movie Click Here.

Details surrounding the upcoming Magic Mike sequel have been pretty much kept underwraps. The director of the first film, Steven Soderbergh, who is serving as the director of cinematography, editor, camera man and possibly background extra revealed a few hints:

“What am I allowed to say?” he said with a pause. “It’s a road trip movie and put it this way, it’s different enough that once you see it you’ll understand why we made a sequel. No one will be accusing us of making the same movie twice.” (Via Indiewire)

Basically, Magic Mike XXL will be an even better version of the first movie, minus an Academy Award winning actor.

John Travolta Opens Up About the Gay Affair Allegations

0

When we think of iconic Hollywood actors who have charmed us with their talents for decades, John Travolta undeniably comes to mind. Travolta’s career in the film industry spans over four decades, leaving a substantial impact on popular culture with each role he played. Let’s delve deeper into the life and career of this versatile and enduring actor.

Born on February 18, 1954, in Englewood, New Jersey, Travolta’s interest in performing arts surfaced early. His first taste of fame arrived in the 1970s with the television series “Welcome Back, Kotter,” where he played the character Vinnie Barbarino, a role that made him a household name among American audiences.

But it was in the late ’70s that Travolta truly became an international star. With the release of “Saturday Night Fever” in 1977, and “Grease” in 1978, he not only demonstrated his acting prowess but also his exceptional dancing skills. The iconic dance scenes in these films remain embedded in pop culture memory, and Travolta’s role as the charismatic Danny Zuko in “Grease” further solidified his status as a heartthrob.

The ’80s were a challenging period for Travolta, with a series of films that did not meet expectations. However, he made a triumphant return in the ’90s with Quentin Tarantino’s “Pulp Fiction,” a film that reignited his career. His portrayal of the hitman Vincent Vega earned him an Academy Award nomination for Best Actor, reminding the world of his unique talent.

John Travolta has never been one to shy away from diverse roles, showcasing his versatility in a range of films, from the action-packed “Face/Off” to the comedic “Hairspray” and the crime thriller “The Taking of Pelham 123.” He has an uncanny ability to adapt to various genres, continually captivating audiences with his performances.

Off the screen, Travolta’s life has been marked by both joy and sorrow. His marriage to actress Kelly Preston in 1991 was followed by the birth of their three children. The couple faced a devastating loss when their eldest son, Jett, passed away in 2009. Then, in 2020, Kelly Preston succumbed to breast cancer, leaving Travolta and their children in mourning.

Despite personal losses and career highs and lows, John Travolta remains an emblem of resilience and dedication to his craft. His charisma, talent, and versatility keep him firmly rooted in the hearts of his fans. As we look back on Travolta’s remarkable career, we see not just an actor, but a true Hollywood icon.

John Travolta opens up about the recent gay affair allegations.

In a recent interview, John Travolta dismissed the recent allegations suggesting he had a steamy gay affair with his former pilot and insisted all of the former alleged lovers were simply after a big pay day. The award winning actor is fighting legal action from Douglas Gotterba, who is seeking to write a tell-all book about an alleged romance with the actor.

According to reports, Gotterba worked as the star’s pilot in the 1980s and during that point in time they had a gay affair. Travolta has had a history of speculation over his sexuality, despite being married to Kelly Preston since 1991, he is convinced Gotterba’s reasons for going public was all about the money. Travolta revealed to TheDailyBeast.com that, “This is every celebrity’s Achilles heel. It’s just about people wanting money. That’s all. It happens on many levels.” Travolta continued, “Other people may attack it back (sic) more than I do, but I let all the media stuff go a long time ago because I can’t control it. I think that’s why it (gay rumours) persists, to some degree.” Travolta previously hit headlines in 2012 after he was slapped with three separate suits for sexual battery, which were all subsequently withdrawn.

Richard Linklater reveals details surrounding ‘Dazed and Confused’ sequel, “That’s What I’m Talking About”.

Casting for ‘Dazed and Confused’ sequel is reportedly ramping up.

Richard Linklater has been developing a sequel to 1993’s “Dazed And Confused” for several years now. But, according to reports, his followup to the coming-of-age hit movie, “That’s What I’m Talking About” is ramping up production.

“That’s What I’m Talking About” centers on a new group of kids in a slightly different era. instead of focusing on the end of an era. The movie will center on the start of something new, with the story about college freshman who are trying to make the baseball team.

According to Deadline, Linklater has reportedly reached out to Blake Jenner ( Ryder Lynn on “Glee”), Tyler Hoechlin (“Teen Wolf”), Wyatt Russell (“22 Jump Street”). There are not that many other details, but if scheduling works out, these may be the leading cast of the sequel. However, opportunities should still become available if one of these actors back out.

Richard Linklater was the writer and director of “Dazed and Confused.” He recently released, Boyhood a movie that took 12 years to make and centers around the life of a young man, Mason, from age 5 to age 18.

Check out a trailer of his most recent movie here:

Stay tuned for updates. We will keep you updated as soon as opportunities become available.

Tyler Perry Donates Thousands to Atlanta Homeless Shelter

Tyler Perry – Tyler Perry donates $45,000 to Young People Matter an Atlanta, homeless shelter.

Actor, director, executive producer, writer, and entrepreneur Tyler Perry made a $45,000 donation to Young People Matter, according to reports.

Young People Matter is an Atlanta youth shelter for young girls younger than 8, was on the verge of closing but, Tyler Perry stepped in to save the day.

Perry’s representatives announced the news in a release, saying the gift coincided with his own 45th birthday (which was Sept. 13), and followed a local news segment on the shelter’s imminent threat of closing. His gift will keep the shelter afloat through the end of the year. [via]

On Tyler Perry’s birthday he visited the shelter to make the donation and see the kids who live there.

The president of the board for Young People Matter encouraged others to donate to help keep the shelter alive.

Tyler Perry has recently purchased two-thirds of the immensely large Fort McPherson to build a film studio in south Atlanta.

Tyler Perry plans to buy 330 acres to build 16 soundstages, according to reports. The purchase of the 330 acres is $30 million.

In the 90s, Tyler Perry was living in Atlanta, trying to perform the play that would get him famous, “I Know I’ve Been Changed.” After spending all of his savings, he became homeless, on and off for six years, living in his car, or at shelters. Perry admitted that he used to stay in a “pay-by-the-week hotel that was full of crackheads.” In 1998, his hard work paid off when “I Know I’ve been Changed” became a hit, setting Perry on the path to stardom.
