Job Responsibilities

• Portray elegant 1880s event attendees in background scenes
• Participate in period-style costume fittings and filming
• Follow on-set direction from the production and background teams
• Maintain historical wardrobe and appearance continuity during filming
• Be available for all required shoot dates and fittings

Requirements

• Non-SAG-AFTRA performers only
• Seeking Black men and women for elite event attendee roles
• Women size range: height 5’3”–5’8”, bust 30–34, waist 26–30
• Men size range: height 5’9”–6’0”, chest 40–44, waist 32–38
• Must be available for all filming dates in NYC and Troy, NY
• Costume fittings will take place only in Troy, NY
• Comfortable working in period costumes and historical settings

Compensation

• $187 for 10 hours
• Paid travel days provided for Troy filming
• Hotel accommodations provided for Troy shoot dates
• Manhattan transportation to and from Troy fittings included

Job Description
Grant Wilfley Casting is now seeking Albany and Rensselaer County locals to work as paid background extras for Season 4 of HBO’s The Gilded Age. Production is looking for talent to portray 1880s-era people of all social classes in scenes filming throughout Troy, New York. This is an exciting opportunity to appear in a hit period television drama and gain professional on-set experience.

Job Responsibilities

• Portray 1880s-era background characters during filming
• Follow costume, hair, and production direction for period scenes
• Maintain continuity and professionalism on set
• Participate in wardrobe fittings if selected
• Be available for filming dates scheduled in Troy, New York

Requirements

• Must be local to Albany or Rensselaer County, New York
• Open to talent of all backgrounds and experience levels
• Comfortable wearing period wardrobe and styling
• Reliable transportation to filming locations in Troy, NY
• Ability to follow on-set direction and production guidelines

Compensation

• SAG-AFTRA Rate: $224 for 8 hours
• SAG-AFTRA Fitting Rate: $56 for 2 hours
• Non-SAG Rate: $187 for 10 hours
• Non-SAG Fitting Rate: $46.75 for 2.5 hours
