Job Description

Driskill Studios is casting paid principal actors for a narrative film project filming in Seguin, Texas. The production tells the story of a young woman facing an unexpected pregnancy and the people around her who either reject or support her journey. The film is being produced for a Christian nonprofit pregnancy care center and will be used for fundraising, promotional purposes, online distribution, and film festival submissions.

Job Responsibilities

  • Portray assigned character authentically and professionally.
  • Attend rehearsals, callbacks, and filming sessions as scheduled.
  • Memorize lines and collaborate with the director and cast.
  • Follow production direction and maintain professionalism on set.
  • Participate in scenes requiring emotional depth and character development.

Requirements

Emma Hayes – Lead Role

  • Female, ages 19–25.
  • Strong dramatic acting ability.
  • Must portray emotional vulnerability, fear, defensiveness, and personal growth.
  • Lead role with approximately 4.5 filming days.

Jack Miller – Supporting Role

  • Male, age 20.
  • Must portray a sincere and emotionally conflicted young father.
  • Strong dramatic performance skills required.
  • Approximately 3 filming days.

Kristy – Emma’s Mother

  • Female, 40s.
  • Ability to portray subtle emotional coldness and restraint.
  • Approximately 1/2 filming day.

Steve – Emma’s Step-Father

  • Male, 40–50.
  • Strong dramatic presence.
  • Must portray a cold, decisive father figure.
  • Approximately 1/2 filming day.

Beth Miller – Jack’s Mother

  • Female, 40–50.
  • Warm, compassionate, and nurturing demeanor.
  • Approximately 1/2 filming day.

Don Miller – Jack’s Father

  • Male, 40–50.
  • Calm, practical, and supportive character portrayal.
  • Approximately 1 filming day.

Rachel – STPCC Nurse

  • Female, 30–40.
  • Professional, trustworthy, and caring presence.
  • Approximately 1/2 filming day.

Mark – STPCC Male Advocate / Mentor

  • Male, 45–55.
  • Grounded, patient, and mentoring personality.
  • Approximately 1/2 filming day.

Compensation Details

  • Emma Hayes: $1,800
  • Jack Miller: $1,150
  • Kristy: $325
  • Steve: $400
  • Beth Miller: $325
  • Don Miller: $500
  • Rachel: $400
  • Mark: $300
  • Housing may be provided for cast and crew if needed.
  • Meals provided on set (two meals per day plus snacks and craft services).
  • Travel reimbursement is not provided.
