Job Description
A student-produced pilot episode titled The Reservation is casting lead actors for a dark comedy and psychological drama project. Produced by film students at George Brown College, the standalone pilot serves as a proof of concept for a larger series featuring complex characters and ongoing storylines.
The story follows an engaged couple whose invitation to an exclusive hidden restaurant transforms an elegant evening into a tense and emotionally charged confrontation as secrets and buried tensions begin to surface.
Job Responsibilities
- Portray a principal character in a scripted pilot episode.
- Deliver emotionally nuanced and character-driven performances.
- Collaborate with the director and production team throughout filming.
- Attend rehearsals and scheduled production days as required.
- Help bring a psychologically layered and dramatic narrative to life.
Requirements
Mia (Lead)
- Female, late 20s.
- Ambitious, composed, and perceptive.
- Able to portray a character who maintains control while avoiding emotional conflict.
- Strong dramatic acting skills preferred.
Tom (Lead)
- Male, early to mid-30s.
- Sensitive and emotionally complex.
- Able to balance humor with vulnerability.
- Strong emotional range required.
Evelyn (Lead)
- Female, early to mid-30s.
- Warm yet subtly unsettling presence.
- Intelligent, observant, and calculated.
- Strong screen presence and character work required.
