Job Description
A historical film project is casting background actors and featured extras for upcoming February filming. This production is seeking talent who can portray period-appropriate characters and work professionally on set with minimal dialogue. Featured extras may work multiple days depending on the final schedule, while background extras may be booked for single-day work. Talent should be flexible and ready for potential filming across multiple nearby locations.

Job Responsibilities

• Portray historical background characters in period scenes

• Follow direction for blocking, timing, and continuity

• Remain attentive on set, especially during ambient sound recording

• Perform simple, non-speaking actions naturally (no memorized lines required)

• Attend fittings if requested and arrive prepared for wardrobe continuity

Requirements

• Must be available and flexible during February filming

• Comfortable working as a background actor or featured extra with minimal dialogue

• Able to follow quiet-set expectations for narration/ambient sound recording

• Willing to work locally in the filming areas as scheduled

• Flexible availability for early schedule confirmation

Compensation

• Featured extra rate: $300 for 10 hours (less any fees)

• Background extra rate: $225 for 10 hours (less any fees)

• Fittings: minimum $50 if needed

• Possible hotel provided for talent traveling over 50 miles (case-by-case)
