Job Description
Casting Black/African American children (ages 11–14) to appear as classroom background students in The Birthday Song, a heartfelt short film by award-winning New Orleans-based directors. This meaningful project is set in 2005, offering young actors a great opportunity to be part of a story with emotional depth and cultural authenticity.

Job Responsibilities

• Portray a student in a classroom setting

• Follow direction from the production team during filming

• Maintain a natural and period-accurate appearance suitable for a 2005 setting

• Be punctual and cooperative on set

Requirements

• Black/African American children, ages 11–14

• Must have clean, natural hair (no braids, wigs, or protective styles)

• Filming in New Orleans, LA

• Parent/guardian must provide:

  • Child’s name, age, height, weight, contact number, city/state, and guardian name

  • Recent headshot and full-body photo showing current hairstyle

Compensation

• $50 flat rate (via gift card)
