Job Description:

Casting background actors for interior Yacht Club and Conference Room scenes on Season 2 of the BET+ series Diarra From Detroit. Set in Atlanta, GA, this shoot will feature upscale, stylized background characters to enhance dramatic scenes involving the city’s elite and top-tier hair stylists. All roles are non-speaking and for atmosphere only.

The show follows a divorcing, overworked teacher who gets entangled in a cold case after a dating app match leads her to suspect the man is a missing child from the 90s.

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform as background talent for interior scenes set in a Yacht Club and Conference Room

• Arrive on set fully prepared and styled according to the wardrobe guidelines

• Be available for the entire filming day (up to 12+ hours)

• Follow all production instructions and on-set protocols

• Maintain professionalism and remain in character during filming

Requirements:

• Gender: All genders

• Ethnicity: All ethnicities (specific roles for Black / African American talent)

• Age: 18+

• Must be local to Atlanta, GA or able to work as a local hire

• Must be fully available on Monday, August 4, 2025

• Must be comfortable being photo-selected by the show’s Director

• Must submit styled photographs per role applied for (see below)

Available Background Roles and Compensation:

1. High-End Yacht Club Patrons (25 roles)

   • Description: Portray upscale, country club elites

   • Wardrobe: Polished, smart-casual daytime attire

   • Compensation: $13.63/hour ($109 guaranteed for 8 hours; overtime at 1.5x after 8 hours)

2. Yacht Club Waiters and Busboy (3 roles)

   • Description: Portray staff working at the yacht club

   • Wardrobe: Professional, upscale wait staff attire

   • Compensation: $10.50/hour ($84 guaranteed for 8 hours; overtime at 1.5x after 8 hours)

3. Conference Room Stylish Ladies (4 roles)

   • Description: Black / African American women portraying top-tier, glam hair stylists

   • Wardrobe: Statement fashion, trendy nails, jewelry

   • Compensation: $10.50/hour ($84 guaranteed for 8 hours; overtime at 1.5x after 8 hours)

4. Woman with Long Dreads (1 role)

   • Description: Black / African American woman with long dreadlocks

   • Wardrobe: Glamorous, trendy stylist look

   • Compensation: $10.50/hour ($84 guaranteed for 8 hours; overtime at 1.5x after 8 hours)

5. Assistants (2 roles)

   • Description: Black / African American background actors

   • Wardrobe: Fashion-forward professional attire

   • Compensation: $10.50/hour ($84 guaranteed for 8 hours; overtime at 1.5x after 8 hours)

Job Description:

A production is now seeking new faces (who have not yet worked on this project) for a featured background role in an upcoming MTV series filming in Atlanta, GA. Talent must be able to work as a local hire. This is a non-union production and involves small scene work as a restaurant patron. All call and wrap times are TBD, so full day/evening availability is required on the shoot day.

Job Responsibilities:

• Portray a restaurant customer in a small featured background scene

• Follow production cues and maintain consistent continuity throughout filming

• Be flexible with time as call times may fall in the late afternoon/evening (not overnight)

Requirements:

• Age Range: 20–50 years old

• Gender: Male and Female

• Ethnicity: All ethnicities welcome

• Must be local to Atlanta, GA (no accommodations provided)

• New faces only – must not have worked on this MTV project before

Compensation:

• Rate: $100.00 for up to 8 hours guaranteed

• Overtime: Paid at time and a half after 8 hours

• Even if filming runs shorter, the full 8-hour rate will still be paid
