Lead Role for a Girl (Aged 9-11) in an Upcoming Feature Film
Job Description:
AC Casting is looking for a talented girl, aged 9-11, to play the lead role in an exciting new feature film. The character is a witty, genuine, and cheeky 10-year-old girl with a tomboyish vibe—far from a stereotypical “little princess.” This is a major role with a lot of dialogue, requiring the young actress to have strong acting skills, natural comedic timing, and the ability to carry a leading performance in a fun and engaging way.
Job Responsibilities:
- Portray the lead character, a lively and cheeky 10-year-old girl, in a feature film.
- Deliver extensive, wordy dialogue with natural comedic timing and emotional depth.
- Collaborate closely with directors, producers, and other cast members, which include well-known actors from the UK and Ireland.
- Engage in rehearsals and filming sessions for three weeks in Dublin.
- Represent the character authentically, bringing her tomboyish, humorous, and spirited nature to life on screen.
Requirements:
- Must be a girl aged 9-11, believably able to portray a 10-year-old.
- Must look the part of a young girl, not yet a teenager (should not appear older than 10/11).
- Prior acting experience is preferred, but natural talent, especially with wordy dialogue and comedic timing, will be strongly considered.
- Comfortable taking on a lead role with significant dialogue.
- Must be based in Ireland, as the film will be shot in Dublin.
- Available for a three-week shoot in February 2025.
Compensation:
- Paid role: Details will be discussed upon casting, in line with industry standards for lead roles in feature films.
- Travel, accommodation, and meals during filming will be provided if necessary.
